About the team

SAP.iO is one of SAP’s strategic business units. SAP.iO Foundries mission is to build SAP's next generation of partners, focusing on startup partners. We are working closely with different internal stakeholders to identify white spaces, scouting globally for suitable early stage-startups to partner with, and running acceleration programs to effectively build joint value propositions that will bring new value, insights, and services to our clients. We have a network of 10 Foundries around the world, in leading startup ecosystems, where each Foundry is running 2 programs a year, with a different focus areas.

As a student in our Foundry Berlin team you will support our different team members in different phased of our program, from scouting to selection startups, on-going program operation, content creation, and business development.


The role

Roles and responsibilities (include, but are not limited to the following):

  • Creation of joint sales assets (one-pager, video, articles, white-paper etc.) with startups, from planning phase, content writing, media production, and ongoing work with SAP global marketing teams and our PR agency publication release.
  • Responsivity over virtual & physical event production (webinars, podcasts, demo-days, workshops etc.).
  • Responsivity over our internal & external mentors' program (given as value-add to our startups).
  • Assist in scouting process – create briefing materials and facilitate screening calls.
  • Support in onboarding the startups to SAP partners program


Role requirements

  • Be a passionate learner.
  • BA, MA or MBA student in Marketing, Business, Business Informatics, Management related fields (at least 1 year before graduation).
  • Experience in marketing / communication / content writing / media production is a major advantage.
  • Experience in working for a startup / VC / accelerator / innovation hub / large software company is a plus.
  • Capable of multitasking and able to prioritize workflow and manage multiple projects with minimal to moderate direction.
  • The ability to quickly build relationships and convey influence when needed at all levels.
  • Effective written, verbal and presentation and communication skills. Ability to write professional business content is huge plus.
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Speaking English on business level. German language is a plus.
  • Tasks management - Execute all assigned tasks at the agreed timeframe
  • Communicate risks if identified
  • Work in full alignment to SAP corporate roles & guidelines
  • Get positive feedback from other team members, startups, and SAP stakeholders
  • Reasonable availability during workdays          
  • This position requires close working cooperation with other team members, startups, senior executives, other organizations, and external vendors.
  • The success of this position is based on effective teamwork within and outside of the department and with external entities.
  • Familiarity with leaders, players, influencers, and communities in the Israeli startup ecosystem is an advantage.
