About the team and role: 

SAP Sales Cloud of SAP Customer Experience division helps sales teams sell faster and perform better, using AI-driven software that transforms a company’s lead-to-cash process. Our full suite of sales process tools includes Sales Automation, Producer Management, Incentive Management, Configure Price, Quote (CPQ), Coaching, Sales Enablement, etc.


We are looking for a talented and driven Java Developer who prefers to work on front end but is also open to working on back end technologies. As a Developer, you will be responsible for the various aspects of development of the Agent Performance Management (APM) system in an innovative and agile environment.  Each developer, while assigned areas of expertise, will actively participate in all aspects of the product development and support.  UI and/or Backend centric developers welcome.

  • Design, Program, Code review, Unit test and Support APM application using Java EE technologies, Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, Groovy, etc.
  • Ensure the best possible Performance, Quality, Security, High-availability, and Responsiveness of applications
  • Research new technologies and make recommendations within the area of expertise
  • Work with other internal software development teams on integration engineering
  • Troubleshoot applications, identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address issues
  • Participate in creating or updating Technical documentation
  • Collaborate and assist Product management, Project Management, QA, Technical Writing, User Experience, Technical Support, InfoSec, Release Management, TechOps teams etc., as needed
  • Assist with internal product training
  • Contribute to story refinement/defining requirements
  • Participate and guide team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle.


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field, Master’s degree a plus
  • Strong understanding of web application development concepts, processes, and practices
  • 3+ years of experience with Java, and other frontend frameworks
  • Proficiency in web technologies such as HTML5, CSS, JS, JQuery and other JavaScript frameworks
  • Experience in RESTful services, asynchronous request handling, partial page updates and AJAX
  • Experience in MS SqlServer/Oracle/HANA SQL Technologies and ability to analyze data using SQL queries 
  • Experience working with Java application servers (Tomcat, etc.)
  • Experience with source version control, build and dependency management tools (Git, Maven, etc.)


Preferred Additional skills:

  • Experience in BootStrap, AngularJS or React
  • Experience in API-based integration between applications
  • Experience in Microservice architecture
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices
  • Experience in DevOps, CI/CD along with Build systems such as Jenkins
  • Experience with Monitoring systems such as Dynatrace, Splunk etc.
  • Understanding of secure coding practices and static/dynamic code scanning tools like Blackduck. Coverity, Whitehat etc.
  • Knowledge of Identity and Access Management, SSO, SAML, OAuth 2.0
  • Industry Knowledge of Producer and Incentive Compensation Management systems
