What you’ll do:

Position title: SAP Labs iXp Intern – Developer Associate

Location: Brno, Czech Republic

Expected start date: May/June 2024 

You will bring your knowledge of any programming language into the team working in the area of Overhead Management. Our solution is maintained in ABAP, a language with similar OOP principles as Java or C#. Your responsibility will be covering all stages and tasks within the entire development cycle:

• Create software that makes a real impact in the daily life of our customers.

• Developing, refactoring and enhancing existing application parts to fulfill today’s test automation and architecture standards.

• Building broad and deep functional, technical, and business process knowledge in selected areas of the application. Share your experience within the team and provide guidance to less experienced developers.

• Become a trusted advisor to the product owner.

• Working in a highly self-motivated and reliable manner and applying agile software development principles, leveraging the SCRUM methodology.

• You communicate concepts, technical assets, and procedures to the other members of the development team and take their feedback into account.

In this role you’ll deliver first class results, you show initiative and drive topics to resolution with a high level of quality, speed, reliability, and efficiency. You strive to build future-proof products using the best-suited technologies. You want to strengthen your personal Cloud mindset and your Cloud experience. You are an excellent team player, and you like to share your knowledge.

What you bring:

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

• Programming skills in a language of your choice JAVA, JavaScript, Python, C, etc. Experience with object-oriented programming, common data structures, algorithms, design patterns.

• General software engineering knowledge (version control, API design, database design, testing, code quality, …).

• Analytical skills to drive the root cause analysis for complex problems.

• Having a logical approach to problem solving and ability to respond to detailed queries.

• Ability to work in an international setup and with remote development teams and stakeholders

• Competent in English (spoken and written).
