Sustainability Control Tower (SCT)
Our team is responsible for a new SAP cloud offering which provides the Platform and Capabilities to enable holistic and integrated Sustainability Performance Management including:

• Data management: Integrates financial, operational, environmental, social, and compliance data from various applications,
• Performance insights and improvements: Creates actionable insight and initiates projects to drive Sustainability Performance across the organization,
• Stakeholder reporting and Communication: Communicate progress to both internal and external stakeholders.

Sustainability Control Tower is developed on top of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) on Cloud Foundry platform. Backend is using Java 17, Spring and CAP framework and Frontend TypeScript, JavaScript, Fiori and SAPUI5.

What you´ll do
As a Senior AI Developer you will ensure that our SAP Sustainability Control Tower is ready for the realization of advanced AI use cases. You will help identifying opportunities for AI features, designing them together with the Scrum teams, and you will help to implement them. You are expected to coach and educate the team and collaborate in other AI experts from our unit.

What you bring

• Profound software engineering experience with a track record of AI related projects, using advanced techniques like vector databases, LLMs (Large Language Models), and NLPs (Natural Language Processing),
• Very good understanding of machine learning algorithms and frameworks,
• Strong understanding of ethical considerations and best practices in AI development and deployment, e.g. reliability, performance, security,
• Experience with object-oriented programming, common data structures and algorithms,
• General software engineering knowledge (version control, API design, database design, build automation, testing, code quality,
• Development skills in Java are plus.
• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• University degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, economics (or related field) or equivalent in experience.
