The mission of SAP S/4HANA Cloud and specifically the Public Cloud ERP Product Management team is to drive and grow SAP’s core business as a market leader in Cloud ERP. We are responsible for defining product scenarios based on market and target customer needs and translating them into consumable product requirements for engineering teams. We work hand-in-hand with our engineering and product marketing teams, as well as with our customers and partners on continuously improving our SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition product. Product Management is the authoritative voice of the legitimate challenges customers face, evangelizing an outcome-based product vision and roadmap that truly solves customer pain points by creating products that delight, yet serve the needs of SAP.
What you´ll do
We are looking for a passionate candidate (m/f/d) that has an interdisciplinary mindset and can lead a scrum team team without formal authority. Ideally, you bring a dimploma in business administration, software engineering or a related domain.
You will work very closely with a scrum team for which you define and validate product requirements within a certain domain in Invoice-to-Pay, Invoice-to-Cash or Payments.
As a product manger, you are accountable for the product succes in your area and steer the product based on adoption and satisfaction KPIs enriched by facts and figures.
What you’ll do
As Senior Product Specialist for Invoice-to-Pay / Invoice-to-Cash / Payments (m/f/d) in Public Cloud ERP you will work in a matrix set-up. This means you work very closely with a scrum team along the innovation process from ideation to adoption and you work with a team of Product Managers across multiple locations on the cross-domain alignment to build business critical end-to-end scenario. As a product manager you will report to the Product Management Head of Invoice-to-Pay / Invoice-to-Cash / Payments Public in Cloud ERP. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Owns and prioritizes the product backlog of a scrum team which reflects customer and user needs in order to achieve competitive advantage and increases the value for a broad customer base
- Provides holistic overview on the overall product vision and product backlog and ensures the product teams have a comprehensive understanding of the product backlog
- Utilizes user personas, story boards, use case diagrams, and experiments to ensure the product meets customer needs
- Is responsible for the success, quality, adoption, usage and satisfaction of a product area
- Ensures creation of product-related non-coded assets in close cooperation with central teams
- Constantly, evaluates market trends and competitive products on basis of publicly available information to ensure his/her product is on-par or competitive in the current market
- Contributes to the efficiency, effectiveness and improvement of processes used in Product Engineering
- Engage with customers, partners, and other stakeholders at all stages of the product lifecycle to ensure we are solving the right problems and building products with high adoption rates and good satisfaction scores
- Partner with User Experience (UX) to ensure an intuitive, delightful, user experience where users can truly experience the product’s value
- Builds and maintains partnerships with internal and external customers and partners
What you bring
- 3+ years of experience as a product manager in the tech industry, preferably within the area of payments or account payables / account receivables
- Strong understanding of corporate payments, financial operations and related business processes
- Excellent verbal, communication skills with customers, partners, and internal teams, as well as good presentation skills
- Experience with agile product management methodologies, frameworks, and tools
- Certification in Product Management or similar will be advantageous
- Proven ability to lead and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Understands the cloud ecosystem where it is going and how to leverage
- Strong problem-solving abilities and capable of making data-driven decisions
- Ideally, an international track record showcasing that you can effectively relate to multicultural teams
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with demonstrable success in previous positions
- Fluent English language skills
