Joining Global Risk & Assurance Services Internal Audit as a team member will present you with a wealth of new challenges and new opportunities. Our audit engagements make SAP run smarter. We provide audit and advisory services to all Board areas and subsidiaries worldwide. We conduct process and compliance audits, evaluate new audit topics, gain in-depth knowledge on evolving themes, identify gaps for improvement, and are trusted advisors to the business. To do this, we rely on the diversity and expertise of our highly qualified audit teams. Constant exchange with colleagues outside Internal Audit and our willingness to learn are key to achieving our ambitious goals.
Internal Audit is a staff department reporting directly to the CFO and the Supervisory Board’s Audit & Compliance Committee. We are one of the integral elements of the corporate governance and compliance framework and are a business advisor to our various stakeholders. We ensure that the company’s financial statements are reliable, its internal controls and compliance programs are effective, and we identify business risks. To achieve these goals, we work closely with the Executive Board, the various corporate departments, and regional and local management. Our reports are presented to these stakeholders, which makes our work highly visible.

Experience & Language Requirements
- Candidate will have 6-8+ years of functional experience in auditing or similar relevant roles
- Accounting knowledge (IFRS/ US-GAAP/local GAAP) or functional knowledge in the relevant field of activity
- Knowledge of the Global Internal Audit Standards for the professional practice of Internal Auditing and audit best practice.
- For internal candidates: Deep knowledge of global policies and guidelines.
- Advanced knowledge in MS Office / SAP products.
- Comprehensive audit expertise and ability to define innovative audit approaches.
- General knowledge of the SOX act
- Project Management skills and/or broad functional expertise
- Excellent communication and (report) writing skills to describe and summarize complex situations and issues.
- Fluent in English a must, Arabic language skills a big plus, fluent in German a plus
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or equivalent, Master's degree preferred
- Professional Training & Certification (e.g. CIA, CPA, CFE) or equivalent
About the team
Global Risk & Assurance Services (GR&AS) combines Internal Audit, Risk Management, and Internal Controls within SAP as an integrated assurance function.
Internal Audit (IA) conducts objective and independent advisory activities to assess and improve the effectiveness of SAP operations and practices.
What we deliver?
- Independent and objective evaluations of company financial and operational business activities to assure compliance with laws, SAP policies, and in compliance with generally accepted accounting & financial reporting principles and auditing standards
- Actionable and results oriented audit recommendations are implemented by the business and detected weaknesses do not recur within the organization
- Advisory services, such as market unit sales health checks
- Investigations based on irregularities identified on customer/partner engagement processes (side commitments) and breaches to SAP policies such as SAP’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and the Global Revenue Recognition Guideline
- High quality and impactful Audit reports, containing findings, recommendations for improvement and actionable mitigation plans agreed by the business. Final reports are presented to senior management
- Comprehensive assessments of an SAP Market Unit or LOB's Sales Strategy, Processes, and Performance
- Memoranda on investigation results focusing on evidence and facts identified while consequence management is carried out by other SAP functions (Office of Ethics and Compliance, Human Resources, etc.)
