We are seeking a skilled and experienced Solution Architect to lead our newly established Corporate Tax team (as part of the Finance IT backbone organization) in developing robust and innovative solutions for our internal client within SAP’s finance organization.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of corporate tax processes and compliance requirements, as well as a strong background in solution design and architecture. The Role:

As a Principle Architect, you'll play a crucial role in designing, developing, and enhancing our cloud-based Finance solutions with a focus on architecture and AI integration. Join us in creating scalable, robust software to meet evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients, business analysts, and cross-functional development teams to understand corporate tax requirements and design scalable and efficient solutions, incorporating AI solutions
• Develop and maintain comprehensive architecture artifacts and deliverables for corporate tax applications
• Drive cloud-based system architecture efforts, aligning with industry best practices and integrating the latest UpToDate SAP technologies
• Provide technical leadership and guidance in the implementation and integration of corporate tax solutions within existing systems and processes
• Act as a subject matter expert on corporate tax regulations and ensure that solutions comply with all relevant laws and regulations
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into technical requirements for corporate tax solutions
• Provide support for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to corporate tax applications and integrations
• Conduct regular code reviews, maintaining code quality, and mentoring team members in engineering and architecture practices

 Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree in taxation is preferred
• 8+ years of professional experience in an IT, Development, or Consulting environment as consultant and/or developer preferably full stack, ABAP
• Application skills on Performance and Profitability Management (PaPM), SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning
• Experience with agile software development processes (Scrum, Kanban) or at least strong curiosity, Test-driven development mindset and Experience with Programming skills in SAP environment (e.g., RAP-Restful ABAP Programming, CAP-Cloud Application Programming)
• Good understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices in SAP environment and knowledge of integration patterns and technologies within the SAP ecosystem and with SAP security frameworks and protocols
• Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable and efficient solutions for corporate tax processes and integrations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Relevant certifications in enterprise/solution/software architecture, tax technology, or related fields are a plus
• Knowledge about ABAP/ABAP OO or other object-orientated programming language
• Knowledge in HANA, CDS (Core Data Services), SQL, SAP ODATA and Web based development skills like SAPUI5, Fiori, Java Script are a plus
• Strong interest into SAP Build, SAP Business AI and Cloud capabilities is much appreciated
• Solid understanding of SAP Finance solutions and business processes as a plus
• Fluent English language skills are mandatory, German language skills beneficial
