PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES 
As an enabler of the Intelligent Enterprise in the Experience Economy, the SAP Customer Success organization helps our customers run at their best. Our services, support, and tools guide, simplify, and accelerate our customers journey towards becoming intelligent enterprises with SAP’s digital platform, intelligent suite, and intelligent technologies. Together with our customers and partners, we drive differentiating innovation and create exceptional business outcomes. As a central part of SAP Customer Success, the Customer Experience (CX) Hub is implementing end-to-end solutions with our customers by translating their aspirations into business solutions. We strengthen the relationship with our customers and strive for long-term engagements. We serve customers worldwide via tight cooperation with other local or regional SAP consulting teams. This means worldwide delivery commitments in areas including SAP S/4HANA, e-Commerce, Cloud (SaaS, PaaS), IoT, analytics.

As an Internship / Java Development Associate you are:

• keen to work on projects with backend and frontend web development technologies.

• able to manage customer expectations and avoid escalations.

 
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Required skills:

• 0 – 3 years of experience working in a professional software development role.

• Experience with Java and Java based frameworks (especially Spring).

• Experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript (e.g. frameworks / technologies such as Angular / Node.js / jQuery).

• General knowledge about the software development lifecycle, in particular Scrum.

• General knowledge about Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery processes.

• Ability to research, prototype, design, code, test, and document new features and enhancements for software applications.

• In addition to a good technical background, the position requires strong problem-solving capabilities with the ability to adapt, rise to challenges and communicate effectively in a team environment.

• English is mandatory.

 
Preferred skills:

• University degree, preferably in engineering (bachelor or master degree in engineering, computer science, business administration, or science).

• Students in final years are also accepted.

• Oracle Certified Java Associate / Professional, Spring certifications are a big plus but are not mandatory.
