(Associate) Software Developer for Subscription Pricing

What you'll do:

As a developer you will be part of a Scrum team that is responsible for implementing features and functions according to the defined backlog in a DevOps environment.

You will be working on microservices that are typically developed in Java and JavaScript and interact with each other via messaging and API calls. The frontend is typically developed with SAP UI5 and based on JavaScript. 

In this context, you will be responsible for ensuring consistently high quality with a high degree of test automation – after all you, as a developer in a DevOps team, are responsible for issues that come up in any deployments.

What you bring:

Required skills

• University degree in Computer Sciences, Business Informatics or a related subject
• Programming skills in Java/Spring Boot and/or JavaScript
• Agile Development Practice
• Experience in test automation

Preferred skills

• Keen to learn new skills and techniques around cloud software development and deployment, and apply these learned assets in our project
• Hands-on experience in developing business software in a cloud native context
• Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

Meet your team:

You will contribute to the development and operations of a cloud based application that is part of the S/4HANA Public Cloud business unit in the functional area of subscription pricing. You will work closely together within the teams and across teams to ensure cloud qualities. In your role your will identify, track, and solve issues that come up in customer cloud system and actively engage in the continuous improvement of cloud qualities in the development projects.

Price Calculation is a cloud native service, designed for managing and calculating prices. Based on concepts which have proven their efficiency within SAP, Price Calculation improves business model flexibility, enabling customers to configure multistep pricing schemes, for example based on pricing trees and rule engines.
