The Business Process and Solution Management (BPSM) team is responsible for:

  • Driving simplification of customer support and cloud operations processes along the Run Simple agenda 
  • Translating the business strategy into concrete solution and process requirements and provide transparency at any required point in time. 
  • Establishing excellent process management practices supporting SAP cloud delivery units to improve their business outcome by means of improved process effectiveness and efficiency
  • Helping business units who are not yet on a process and product standard to onboard to this standard by taking into account their special requirements while ensuring that there is one golden standard for product and process landscape.

 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

We are looking for a proven Senior Specialist (T3) to complement our international team. In order to consult the units on critical operations and highly business relevant topics and their integration into customer support and cloud operations processes, a broad knowledge of the customer lifecycle and in-depth knowledge of operations is required. You should be able to connect the dots in an end to end view (E2E). 

As a Senior Business Process Management Specialist you will support SAP’s Customer Support and Cloud Operationsjourney by:

  • Managing onboarding projects to the Harmonized Customer Service Management (HCSM)
  • Providing value managmenent and driving adoption for delivered innovations
  • Driving strategic projects with board level attention and communicating towards executives
  • Leading process design activities leveraging industry best practices and relevant norms (e.g. ITIL, COBIT, ISO9001/27001, TOGAF)
  • Driving harmonization & simplification of Customer Support and Cloud Operations along the Run Simple agenda
  • Providing transparency in Solution Management by owning and keeping an overview about portfolio and solution epics, features and user stories
  • Applying lean principles like identifying waste in existing processes and ensuring process simplification and adoption of Golden Standard Processes
  • Working with different lines of  business on continuous improvement demands to increase clarity, completeness and alignment with Golden Standard
  • Identifying and prioritizing fact-based process improvement opportunities (e.g. based on process mining)
  • Actively contributing to the overall process improvement and process governance activities ensuring cross Delivery Unit collaboration
  • Working in an international team and drive global knowledge sharing

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor or Master degree in (computer) science, business administration or related field
  • Very good understanding of and / or track record in business process management
  • Certification in IT norms (e.g. ITIL and TOGAF)
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to drive topics (e.g. PMP certification)
  • Understanding of Customer Support and Cloud Operations

    • Knowledge of cloud-based operations (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS)
    • Structured and strong analytical thinking
    • Verbal and written executive communication skills
    • Excellent project and program management skills
    • Excellent presentation skills
    • Experience in modeling business processes (BPMN)
    • Results oriented
    • Experienced with working in  international & global  teams and intercultural awareness
    • Friendliness and a positive attitude towards customers and colleagues
    • Fluency in English

WORK EXPERIENCE

    • 10+ years’ experience in Project Management, IT consulting or IT operations
    • 5-10 years’ experience in maturing and automating business processes
    • Experience in process compliance and certification/attestation
    • Experience in SAP’s cloud environment preferred
