What you’ll do

As a Senior Developer on our team, you will develop solutions and ensure implementation of our IT Operations Management (ITOM) solutions on our harmonized ServiceNow landscape used by thousands of users across the globe. You will closely collaborate with business owners, product managers, product owners and other experts in an agile environment.
In your daily business, you will support the code and configure it in an agile team. ITOM covers the topics Configuration Management DB (CMDB), Event Management and Cloud Automation and Orchestration. You should be able to understand business demands, contribute to corresponding solution architectures and drive implementations with your agile development team. In the program you are leading based on your deep expertise and dedication to establish a reliable and end user friendly solution.

Concretely, you will:
•    Develop and configure the ServiceNow ITOM solution and its integrations
•    Work closely with sprint teams to ensure user stories and architectural design is transferred in working products 
•    Become proficient with business processes and transfer business demands to reliable and simple solutions
•    Act as thought leader for other team members
•    Drive continuous improvements with focus on quality, stability, usability, and maintainability
•    Applying DevOps mindset to take operational responsibility for the provided solutions 
•    Establish a trusted partnership with you SCRUM master and Product Owner and enable “ONE TEAM” spirit from delivery to operation

What you bring

•    Academic degree (Bachelor or Master) in Information Technology, Software engineering, business informatics or related fields
•    5+ years of professional working experience in development (with focus on ServiceNow implementation)
•    Expert in JavaScript and the ServiceNow development environment/tooling
•    Experience in implementation of large-scale IT systems
•    Experience in agile application delivery processes, procedures & agile implementation methods (e.g. SAFe)
•    Good IT/Cloud knowledge with particular focus on enterprise applications and application architecture
•    Leader and team player – give guidance and show excellent coordination skills, passionate about execution, motivated and self-managed
•    Strategic thinking, strong problem-solving and analytical skills 
•    Quick learner, passionate, motivated, and self-managed

We are responsible for harmonizing and optimizing SAP’s support & cloud operations processes and parts of security operations on a user-centric, innovative platform, focused on delivering a simple, stable, effective, and desirable internal (for SAP employees) and external (for SAP customers) customer service management. Central to this effort is the 3rd Party SaaS platform ServiceNow and its applications IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM) and Security Operations Management (SecOps).
By creating this solution, we support all SAP lines of business and cross teams.
