Job Title: IT Business Services Senior Consultant - ServiceNow PO/BPC ITOM / CMDB (m/f/d) 

 

What you’ll do 

 

As an IT Business Services Senior Consultant in our team, you will act as a Product Owner and Business Process Consultant for configuration management/CMDB for our harmonized ServiceNow landscape used by thousands of users across the globe. You will closely collaborate with business owners, product managers, architects, and other experts in an agile environment.  

In your daily business, you will ensure that our ServiceNow CMDB acts as the base structure for all CSM, ITSM & ITOM processes. You contribute to implementation, and operations of SAP’s Service Management applications and landscape. You closely align with IT and cloud experts and other program roles and drive continuous improvement of our CMDB capabilities. You coordinate the agile configuration management development team to implement changes and integration and correlation issues. In the program you are leading based on your deep expertise and dedication to establish reliable CMDB making CIs the core enabler of our processes.  

  

Concretely, you will:  

  • Define and implement ITOM Configuration Management / CMDB 
  • Work with system/service owners to understand their CMDB related demands and transfer them into a working product 
  • Guide an agile development team as a product owner 
  • As a Business Process Consultant define the smallest possible feature, where the delivery will still bring value to the stakeholders  
  • Know and defend the ServiceNow out-of-the-box capabilities and golden standard & align LoB requirements with ServiceNow standards  
  • Ensure security policies & standards are fulfilled  
  • Support Stream in preparing business go-lives  
  • Support Stream in assessing feature completeness and quality, by e.g. testing from business requirements according to features acceptance criteria  
  • Support defect handling with platform and integration root cause analysis  
  • Applying DevOps mindset to take operational responsibility for the provided concepts and solutions   

  

What you bring  

  

  • Academic degree (Bachelor or Master) in Information Technology, Software engineering, business informatics or related fields  
  • 3+ years of professional working experience in configuration management / CMDB implementation mainly with ServiceNow  
  • Experience in coordinating and driving a product vision as a Product Owner 
  • Experience in agile application delivery processes, procedures & agile implementation methods (e.g. SAFe)  
  • Good knowledge of IT with particular focus on enterprise applications and configuration management  
  • Leader and team player – give guidance and show excellent coordination skills, passionate about execution, motivated and self-managed
