We are looking for a Senior DevOps engineer to join the infrastructure team for cloud operations at SAP SuccessFactors.

This team is building next-generation infrastructure, thus enabling the company transition to public cloud infrastructure.

What you’ll do

 

- Lead the charge in automating processes, continuous deployment, and enhancing build and configuration management.

- Develop and maintain a robust monitoring system to oversee our dynamic build landscape, ensuring efficiency and reliability.

- Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the team, actively collaborating with colleagues to refine ideas and foster consensus.

- Proactively identify and resolve security vulnerabilities and performance bottlenecks, maintaining a steadfast commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

 

What you bring

 

- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field with a strong foundation in software development.

- Exceptional collaboration skills paired with the ability to work independently when needed.

- A genuine passion for exploring new technologies and enhancing your programming expertise.

- Proficiency in technical problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging, with a solid understanding of SQL and relational database principles.

 

Tech you bring

 

- Expertise in administering any mission critical database systems.

- Experience managing diverse database environments within a large-scale landscape.

- Hands-on proficiency in Unix/Linux environments specifically tailored to database operations.

- Previous exposure to other RDBMS flavors is a plus.

- Capability to take ownership, lead operational tasks, manage customer escalations, and drive process improvements.

 

Tech you'll learn

 

- Evaluate and implement cutting-edge database technologies and utilities to optimize performance and efficiency.

- Conduct in-depth analysis of resource utilization and growth patterns for infrastructure and databases.

SF Cloud Ops is seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer for its Database Operations group, focusing on developing innovative solutions to fine tune and transform the ecosystem into a high-performance Cloud and SaaS environment.
