PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

SAP SCM solutions have achieved a leading market position and are used by more than 2,500 customers worldwide. We are aiming to innovate the SCM product portfolio through Integrated Business Planning and S/4HANA.
SAP Integrated Business Planning (SAP IBP) is a cloud solution that enables companies to react quickly to customer demands and expectations and helps them handle changes and shortages in the supply chain by generating a short to mid-term supply plan, based on prioritized and categorized demand such as orders and forecasts. 

The development and maintenance of SAP Integrated Business Planning is fueled by various customer engagements and the collaboration between several teams in different locations. You will be a member of an inspired team focusing on Order-based Planning. The main technologies used are ABAP, HANA, JavaScript and OData. Changing technologies and system environments require your flexibility. Teamwork and the collaboration with others are part of your daily business.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
We are looking for an engaged person with a mature attitude to provide development and maintenance in the following areas:
•    Developing new functionality 
•    Code ownership
•    Solving customer requests through the message handling system
•    Generating code corrections & code improvements
•    Participation in the development feedback channel.
•    Quality assurance in your responsibility area
•    Testing: ongoing development of test cases during implementation phase & module integration
•    Supporting quality activities like test-driven development and the creation of automated tests

•    Eagerness to tackle challenging tasks
•    Willingness to learn ABAP, HANA, CDS, AMDP and/or UI5, Fiori, RAP technologies

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Required skills
•    University degree in information technology, mathematics, or engineering
•    Proficiency in object-oriented programming and strong technical skills 
•    Excellent English language skills written and oral
•    Experience with the following technologies and concepts is considered as an advantage:
o    ABAP
o    JavaScript/SAPUI5/Fiori
o    SQL/SQL Script/RDBMS/HANA (CDS)
o    REST/OData protocols 
•    Experience in Fiori UI development with JS, SAP UI5, RAP, OPA5 and Cucumber as an advantage:
•    Knowledge of test automation tools and concepts (e.g. ABAP Unit Tests, Jenkins)
•    Customer handling and communication
•    Experience with cloud development processes/paradigms
•    Enthusiastic team player with strong communication skills, results-driven attitude
•    Drive for proactive problem solving. Handling any conflicts in a conscious and fair manner.
•    Ability to work in new, dynamic environments
•    Open minded, problem-solving attitude and positive spirit
•    Creative thinking, willingness and ability to learn new concepts and technologies quickly
•    Highly customer and service-oriented attitude with a strong focus on quality
•    Flexibility and ability to adapt to new tasks and challenges quickly
•    Analytical thinking and a self-motivated working attitude

Preferred skills
•    Full stack development experience
•    Knowledge of Agile Software Engineering methods
•    Experience in cloud application development
•    Experience in software quality assurance
•    Business knowledge in Supply Chain Management might be beneficial

WORK EXPERIENCE
At least 6-7 years of experience in the software development process of complex applications.
