PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Office of Ethics & Compliance (OEC) is a part of the Office of CEO Board area, and reports to both SAP SE’s Global CEO and the Audit Committee of the Supervisory Board. Our mission is to address the risks faced by SAP as a result of anti-bribery and corruption and to investigate fraud of a substantial and criminal nature. The OEC is responsible for various SAP compliance initiatives, including oversight and support of the SAP Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, employee compliance training and communications, and the global governance document framework. We also monitor and enforce compliance. Our focus includes compliance with the FCPA (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act), UK Bribery Act, and other global anti-corruption and bribery laws, plus anti-competition compliance (in tandem with the field legal organization).
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
The successful candidate will focus on a variety of projects leveraging technology to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of SAP’s Compliance Management System. Project management experience is of paramount importance as the successful candidate will manage the execution of technology projects to help drive automation and standardization of compliance tools, processes, and documentation.
The successful candidate’s key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting automation of OEC-relevant processes
- Leading the discovery, assessment, and adoption of best in class internal and third-party technology to drive continuous improvement of SAP’s Compliance Management System
- Supporting current OEC tools and systems, including user support and implementation of system enhancements
- Creating and delivering compliance communications and trainings to varied stakeholder groups, both within the OEC and across all of SAP
- Stakeholder management: Liaison with stakeholders to understand user requirements, effectively prioritize and manage stakeholder expectations, translate user needs to IT requirements and support change management
- Designing and managing knowledge management repositories within the OEC team
- Supporting compliance queries and coordinate responses with the balance of the OEC team members
- Tracking project progress and providing regular status updates, escalating of critical issues, and supporting delivery of projects on time, on budget and with high quality.
- Monitoring changes to legal and regulatory guidelines applicable to the company, as well as internal policy and process changes, and proactively develop solutions
The position reports to the Head of OEC Technology Solutions.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Full proficiency with the English language is required; secondary language skills are a nice-to-have
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, IT or equivalent work experience
- Strong communication skills (both written and presentation)
- Ability to identify relevant and pertinent matters and actions arising in meetings/ discussions
- Proactive, dynamic and result driven individual with strong attention to details
- Demonstrated ability to manage senior leadership and stakeholders in dynamic environments
- Demonstrated ability to work with international, virtual teams with sensitivity to cultural differences
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience is required, preference given to experience in system implementations in close collaboration with IT and stakeholder management. Project Management Professional (PMP) or other project management accreditation is an advantage
- Exposure to compliance roles such as audit, risk management and anti-bribery and corruption law compliance is preferred
- Experience designing and/or documenting business processes and analyzing related gaps, as well as process automation.
- Experience in the areas of managing corporate programs to mitigate bribery and corruption risks will be given preference
- Full comfort with Microsoft Office tools and virtual networking platforms such as Microsoft Teams
