Profile description

 

The consumption of intelligent technologies, like IoT and machine learning, IRPA, Chatbots, applied to complex business processes supported by wide range of applications requires a great user experience that makes this adoption easy and efficient. The design and implementation of the best UX that makes this possible is a new practice for all organizations which is only possible with deep understanding of the UX technologies and how they should be applied to business processes, great communications skills and a leadership attitude.

 

The UX&Mobile Architect is a full time, techno-functional role that leads the implementation of SAP UX Startegy for the whole SAP suite which includes on premise and cloud applications with S/4 HANA as the digital core.

 

The UX&Mobile Architect should have the technical skills not only to implement UX&Mobile SAP Solutions like Fiori, Screen Personas, Work/Asset Manager, BUILD, SAP Cloud Platform Mobile Services, SAP Cloud Portal but also to design the best UX and eventually extend them. 

A broad understanding of new SAP solutions (S/4HANA, SCP, C/4 HANA, Ariba, SuccessFactors, Fieldglass and Concur) and especially Intelligent SAP Technologies (IoT, Machine Learning, Analytics, Blockchain, Cloud Foundry, IRPA, Chatbots) is key (despite not mandatory) to define the best way to integrate each UX&Mobile solution with them.

 

Expectations and tasks:

  • Responsible for implementing SAP’s standard User Experience solutions for customers.
  • Ensure successful communication, deployment and adoption of SAP UX strategy in every project. This means proactive evangelization of SAP UX strategy and leading a change to embedd UX activities into projects
  • Plan UX activities for every project
  • Collaborate closely with Enterprise and Platform Architects / experts to set up the system landscape to enable secured access of UX solutions to internal and external users.
  • Work closely with SAP security experts to set up authorizations and enable advance authentication of UX solutions such as SSO, SSL etc.
  • Conduct UX workshops with various functional teams to plan prioritize, design and deliver UX applications to support a complete and cohesive user experience.
  •  Participate in requirements workshops to understand the process requirements and utilize that knowledge to map the processes to SAP’s UX solutions and design custom UX solution wherever necessary.
  • Regularly and proactively, communicate status, risks, and other issues related to UX activities that are under development to SAP Project Delivery management, Client Partners, and Customer as appropriate.
  • Provide knowledge transfer to project and customer teams on SAP UX solutions.  
  • Identify opportunities for co-innovation and collaborate with SAP product development teams in evaluating and driving co-innovation.
  • Stay current on UX trends and best practices across interaction types (web, mobile, Internet of Things, etc.) and creatively apply UX trends to customer needs.
  • Recommends UX solution modifications, configurations, and processes.
  • Create the UX strategy
  • UX fit gap analysis
  • Review and communicate the landscape requirements
  • Configure & test standard UX scenarios
  • Identify and develop the UX enhancements
  • Identify, design & develop custom UX solutions
  • Interacts with onsite team members to ensure alignment of technical and UX design with project objectives.
  • Responsible for maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction in addition to growing and developing referenceable customers.
  • Help customers design their UX strategy that is in alignment with SAP’s UX strategy
  • Willingness to develop skills related to Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Internet of Things in SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business Suite.

 

Education and Basic Qualifications:

  • Graduate level with Bachelor or Masters degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science or other equivalent degree.

 

Work Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience working on SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA implementations (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience working with software development using SAPUI5 and SCP (preferred)
  • Experience as a functional consultant for SAP ERP implementations at initial stages of the career would be a plus
  • Project Management experience would be a plus. Leadership and communications skills are a must
  • Experience in S/4 HANA implementations with a UX role

 

Technical skills

The candidate should have proven knowledge and skills in the following areas:

  • SAP Fiori is a must as well as SCP. SCP and/or any Fiori/SAPUI5 Certification would be a plus
  • Knowledge of at least 2 of the following UX SAP Solutions: Screen Personas, Work/Asset Manager, BUILD, SAP Cloud Platform Mobile Services, SAP Cloud Portal, SAP WebIDE or Business App Studio.
  • Java, Phyton, PhP, CSS, NodeJs, C++, Native iOS, native Android development skills would be a plus
  • HTML5/ Javascript /SAPUI5 is a must
  • Familiarity with Design Thinking process. Design Thinking Certification would be a plus
  • Experience with UX Solutions in SAP Cloud Foundry would be a plus
  • ABAP and OData service development would be a plus
  • Any prior SAP HANA development experience would be a plus
  • IoT/ML/AI/Analytics experience would be a plus
  • Proficient in building UX project proposals for customers is optional
