What you will do

• Support the product teams with technical feasibility analysis, solution proposals.
• Identify and resolve technical and architectual issues / blockers during product development or customer projects by applying your technical expertise
• Delivery valuable feedback and insights to the product teams to promote continuous improvement/innovation and architectual best practices, fostering their growth and learning.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to create high-level architectural designs and requirements.
• Document and communicate the exceptional architectural work you perform, and lead the architectual alignments with stakeholders.
• Support customer workshops and engagements with holistic architecture and solution integration expertise
• Stay on top of technology trends and actively participate in the SAP Expert community to share knowledge.
• When the opportunity presents, drive POCs and side projects with a team or individually.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field.
• 10 plus years of hands-on experience in designing, developing and deploying web-based applications in the cloud
• Strong expertise in Java, Kubernetes/ Docker, and web technologies including UI based frameworks (UI5, Angular JS, bootstrap), web services (REST/CXF), MVC frameworks (spring boot), etc.
• Systematic Approach to Complex Challenges: Demonstrate the ability to systematically tackle complex issues, maintaining a strong sense of ownership and motivation
• Knowledge and experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and Google Cloud would be a big advantage
• Experience in designing large-scale distributed systems is a big advantage
• Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments is a big advantage
• Fluent in English, Good Team player and Good Communication/collaboration & Presentation skills.

The purpose of the SAP Commerce Cloud Dev Teams in Chengdu is to maintain and implement improvements for the SAP Commerce Cloud core components. The potential candidate will drive complex and critical designs and will be instrumental in developing some of the complex development topics and would work closely with other members of the team and other functional groups within SAP Commerce Cloud as a whole.
