Job description:
The Senior Network Automation Engineer is primarily responsible for ensuring all firewall, load balancer, router and switch vulnerabilities are resolved within the time outlined by SAP Global Vulnerability Management policies. This is a new role designed to maintain an exceptional record of vulnerability management by collaborating with the security operations team and using automation tools to identify and remediate network device vulnerabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience using automation platforms, such as Ansible, extensive experience with network device lifecycle management and configuration related to firewalls, load balancers, routers and switches. Understanding if a published vulnerability is applicable to a network device operating system and/or configuration is required to be successful in this role.
Primary responsibilities:
- Work closely with Fieldglass line of business and the Central Security Operations group to drive adherence of SAP Global Vulnerability Management policies.
- Develop automation to evaluate network device vulnerabilities and determine appropriate vulnerability remediation actions
- Identify vulnerability remediation actions that can be automated
- Present network device vulnerability remediation action plan to the team of network engineers who will implement the remediation plan
- Create vulnerability exceptions for vulnerabilities that cannot be remediated due to system configuration limitations or service disruption
Qualifications/Requirements

- Minimum
- Strong understanding and previous background in Cloud Operations
- Experience with automation and multiple scripting languages including but not limited to Ansible, Bash, PowerShell and Python
- Highly motivated and can work/collaborate across departments to deliver on Tasks
- Experience evaluating vulnerabilities for firewalls, load balancers, routers and switches
- Experience configuring and upgrading firewalls, load balancers, routers and switches
- This role is not available for sponsorship; all candidates must have the ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
