What you`ll do

SAP Intelligent Enterprise Solutions (IES) organization, also known as SAP IT, has the purpose to “Deliver and Run the Intelligent Enterprise”. IES is SAP’s technology backbone and most compelling reference customer, and as such, we influence SAP product development and strategy, with our customer experience at heart. We’re looking for an experienced Cloud Data & ML Platform Engineer (DevOps/MLOps), with an entrepreneurial spirit to join our diverse team and work on innovative projects.

As a Cloud Data & ML Platform Engineer (DevOps/MLOps), you will:

• Contribute to the implementation of best-in class services for our SAP Cloud Data & ML Platforms, industrializing the entire Data pipelines and Machine Learning solutions development life cycle (DevSecOps, MLOps)

• Work closely with product managers/product owners, scrum masters/release train engineers, AI/data scientists, data engineers, AI developers

• Get involved in all aspects of entire customer lifecycle starting from ideation to creation & operationalizing the solution

• Develop & Operate high quality Data & Machine Learning platform services for large enterprise

• Design, code and test new product features by following agile development practices

• Demonstrate excellent quality, design, development and delivery skills in scrum teams working in short development and release cycles

• Collaborate with SAP Data and AI product development to influence the roadmap of our SAP standard products

What you bring

• Bachelor‘s or master’s degree in business informatics, computer science, engineering or related technical fields, with at least 3 years of experience in the field

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills in English, incl. ability to communicate complex concepts in simple form to non-technical audience

• Knowledge in Big Data, Data Science, AI, Machine Learning

• Knowledge of DevOps / MLOps methodologies and tools

• Python development professional level

• Practical Knowledge of Cloud Data & AI technologies (eg Microsoft Azure Data & AI services, Databricks / Spark, AWS, GCP)

• Practical knowledge in platform management, DevOps and infrastructure-as-code concepts and tools (eg GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, Terraform)

Advantage:

• Interest in SAP BTP Data and AI technologies (eg HANA Cloud, AI Core and AI Launchpad)

• Experience / interest in SAP BTP or equivalent JavaScript UI Development Frameworks (e.g., SAP UI5, Angular, Vue.js) and Server-Side API Development Frameworks (e.g., Java Spring Boot) is a plus

• Experience with agile team practice & methods such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe
