Job Overview: As a Technical Trainer, you will be a technical resource and subject matter expert on SAP Concur agency automation. You will independently fulfil functional training and technical roles in the support of Concur products for both Concur staff and Concur clients. This role will require significant collaboration with team members to promote knowledge development and provide project-specific support and assistance.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct computer-based training on SAP Concur technologies using both classroom and virtual room methods of delivery.
  • Consult with SAP Concur specialists, clients and partners to provide subject matter and technical expertise in areas including, configuration solution design, risk identification/mitigation as part of the training curriculum.
  • Provide advice, guidance and support to customers on specific training and development needs.
  • Conduct a review of each training course to ensure that it remains relevant and effective.
  • Ownership of a portfolio of training courses, ensuring that trainers’ notes, session plans, visual aids and handouts are up to date.
  • Design computer training manuals by identifying and describing information needs.
  • Develop and document configuration best practices and contribute to team training and professional development efforts.
  • Participates in cross-functional teams formed to advance product improvements and any/all team(s) effectiveness.
  • Maintain a current and thorough understanding of SAP Concur agency automation products and services.
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications and attends SAP Concur sponsored training programs and industry-related conferences as needed based on budget availability.
  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks in support of the CRM.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy training environment by following organization standards and legal regulations.

Qualifications:

Education, Experience & Training required:

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience; Technical Degree Preferred.
  • Travel Industry or equivalent working experience in travel technology
  • 4+ years in Training and Consulting or Implementation.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Working knowledge of at least one GDS preferred.
  • Have a solid understanding of programming concepts.
  • Able to conduct testing to ensure a solution or procedure works. 
  • Sound understanding of all MS Office packages… Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Visio and currently supported Windows Operating Systems.
  • Experience of some form of database advantageous with sound knowledge of tables, database functionality and queries.
  • Available to travel nationally and internationally as required.

Job Specific Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills with proven ability to engage and interact with different teams to train these skills on.
  • Experience with software as a service is preferred.
  • SQL programming ability, including tasks such as inserts, updates, deletes, and writing SQL queries is preferred.
  • Programming ability required, .NET programming ability preferred.
  • Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workflow to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • A second language is preferred
