Job Summary

 

The Supplier Integration Specialist’s (SIS) primary function is to help in the delivery of multiple projects related to integrated supplier enablement on the Ariba Network that allows buyers to transact with their suppliers via an electronic (cXML, EDI) method. Integration, described in an extremely summarized way, means system to system transacting via Ariba Network, and the SIS facilitates the projects that are required prior to these integrated transactions.  The SIS will also support supplier catalogs (both CIF and Punchout) and the network enablement of suppliers they are managing.

The SIS will focus on partnering with cross-functional SAP Ariba supplier enablement teams to establish a successful Buyer - Supplier enablement program for the integrated supplier work stream. 

Key tasks include dealing with both customers and suppliers of the Ariba Network and to integrate ERP’s of suppliers with the Ariba Network based on the customers’ requirements, troubleshooting technical errors and working closely with Ariba clients over the phone and email.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Accountability

•            Executes project plan according to established timelines

•            Responsible for delivering waves of integrated suppliers to meet customers’ target Go Live dates through 6 stages of the project: Planning, Design, Build, Testing, Deploy, and Go Live.

•            Assist in resolving technical issues related to the transmission of cXML, EDI, or CSV documents on the Ariba Network, as well as issues related to syntax, structure, and validation against business rules.

•            Responsible for delivering catalogs as required typically for suppliers who are integrating as well.

•            Responsible for maintaining up to date CRM records on project progress

Complexity

•            Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

•            Ability to understand the SAP Ariba product portfolio and how they affect Supplier integration projects

 

Experience

•            Understanding of business processes including procurement and related documents

•            Ariba Network experience is preferable but not essential

•            Previous system integration experience is preferable but not essential

•            4-6 years of experience within IT industry
