SAP’s Government Security and Secrecy (GS2) area is seeking an experienced Government Security and Risk Specialist to join a high-performing team protecting SAP and Australia’s national interests. (f/m/d)
You’ll be advising senior leaders on protective security, personnel security, physical security, information security, and risk management in a classified environment. You’ll conduct security assessments, develop policies, deliver training, and ensure compliance with the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF).

EXPECTATIONS AND DUTIES
- Support the SAP DISP Security Office (DSO) across all aspects of SAP Australia’s DISP activities
- Participate and support global GS2 projects, tasks, and compliance activities
- Support SAP as a trusted security adviser and risk subject matter expert for SAP’s DISP membership
- Assist with the maintenance of GS2 internal stakeholder relationships in support of regional regulatory obligations
- Support the DSO to facilitate and maintain personnel security clearances in close engagement with the Australian Government Security and Vetting Agency (AGSVA).
- Support the DSO to maintain Defence certified and accredited secure facilities
- Develop and maintain a strong network of contacts with relevant authorities and security organisations and other security professionals for the benefit of SAP
- Participate in initiatives to constantly improve of SAP’s operations and capacity to support customers in highly regulated markets
- Be an exemplar of what good security practices and a positive security culture look like in action
- As part of a global team, some travel, including international may be required
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Extensive experience within Government, Defence, Defence Industry or regulated industry security roles
- Proven track record in risk assessment, incident response, and security governance
- Excellent understanding of PSPF, DSPF, ISM, and Australian Government security standards
- Extensive experience working with Australian Government classified data
- Significant experience managing Defence security operations, supported by relevant training or tertiary qualifications
- Experience handling highly sensitive classified and personally identifiable information
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Australian Defence Security requirements
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to build trust and collaborative relationships at all levels
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
- Undergraduate/postgraduate academic or relevant professional qualifications are highly desirable, particularly in related disciplines including, but not limited to, Government Protective Security, Information Assurance, Information Security, and Risk Management
- Be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Personal Security Clearance, issued by AGSVA is required.
