Head of Product Marketing and Solution Management, Commerce

As a leader within the SAP Marketing & Solutions Board Area, you will be responsible for the solution management and product marketing for SAP Commerce, reporting to the Group CMO of SAP CX. In this role, you will be accountable for the solution definition, growth plan, market strategy and revenue success of the Sub-solution area, leading and inspiring a team who will drive solution delivery and product marketing execution. 

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual who has the business rigor and marketing excellence to make SAP a category leader in Customer Experience. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

Define, own and communicate the market narrative for B2B and B2B2C Commerce that speaks to our customers growth objectives and takes into account SAPs differentiators that uniquely positions SAP CX to deliver value to the customer. 

Solution Area Growth + Product Marketing Strategy: Define the growth and marketing strategy for direct and indirect routes to market. Incorporate industry trends, market research data and customer requirements to create a holistic solution strategy and product marketing approach, including pricing and packaging. 

Solution Delivery and Go-To-Market (GTM) Activities: Accountable for the delivery of high-quality offerings and sales portfolio. Oversee the creation of GTM plans and shape their strategic direction and own launches.  

Drive down stream execution to Sales: define and execute sales enablement, sales hand off and deal support. 

Provide upstream PM insights: Capture deal insights, win/loss analysis and collaborate with Product Management on forward looking roadmap decisions to drive retention and growth.  

Customer Engagement: Engage with customers, customer councils, and leaders in the SAP ecosystem to ensure understanding of their current and future needs. 

Value Proposition: Build a differentiated value proposition and compelling marketing messaging for all target audiences. 

Marketing Content + Campaigns: Own all Sub-solution area marketing content and ensure consistent messaging across all channels. Collaborate with head of integrated marketing to define solution-specific marketing campaign strategy and successful execution to support the customer journey. 

People Leadership: Operational responsibilities to lead a team of solution management and marketing professionals. Identify the development opportunities and support team members to successfully achieve their goals through coaching, mentoring and providing just-in-time feedback. 

 

Skills and Qualifications 

 

Excellent understanding of the respective solution area spanning product depth, customer needs, competitive landscape and market differentiators.  

10-15 years’ experience in product management, product marketing, or similar discipline.  

Strong collaborator who can work effectively in a matrixed organization and partner with teams such as Sales and Product Engineering. 

Experienced people leader who can inspire, grow and develop talent.  

Experienced communicator with strong relationship management skills.  
Experience with modern marketing channels spanning digital, social, virtual events, etc..  

Growth mindset with desire to learn and try new approaches.
