Role Description & Responsibilities

This role is a key part of the HXM COO and Strategy organization and will be instrumental in driving our strategy, helping us develop and deliver on our goals and ambitions, and making the Cloud Human Experience Management (HXM) market come to life.

The Competitive & Market Intelligence Lead will monitor and research key competitors, market trends, analyst reports, competitive product announcements and customer intelligence, deriving insights to help drive our HXM strategic planning, messaging, and field enablement. Key responsibilities include:

Competitive intelligence

  • As part of our ongoing HXM competitive intelligence activities, you will be responsible for monitoring, collecting, and analyzing data on a defined set of global HXM competitors
  • You will use this analysis to derive insights that you will use to produce field-facing assets and support field enablement on competitive positioning
  • You will also partner with other colleagues and teams to share those insights as needed to help drive differentiated messaging and strategic planning 

Market intelligence

  • Your research and analysis will inform our market models, and you will contribute to regional and global strategy discussions and decisions around total addressable market, market segmentation, industry trends and market share
  • You will review analyst reports and analyst/influencer/thought leader activity to provide insights to help guide growth and product strategy discussions and decisions
  • You will also leverage your market intelligence research and insights to create market direction studies and support business case development for strategic decision-making

Customer intelligence

  • You will consolidate, analyze, and synthesize multiple sources of customer intelligence to bring the voice of our customers deeper into field-facing content, messaging and strategic planning

This is an individual contributor role that is part of the Growth & Insights team in the HXM COO and Strategy organization. The collective mission of this team is to drive our two to three growth strategy and support execution by:

  • proactively monitoring and analyzing workforce & HR trends, market research, competitive intelligence and customer input; and
  • executing research and strategy incubation programs to curate this information into investment themes and growth drivers

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Business, Computer Science or technical field
  • 7+ years of experience in business-to-business software product marketing, product management, and/or competitive intelligence
  • Strategy & Market Research Knowledge
  • Advanced internet research skills
  • High levels of curiosity, emotional intelligence and autonomy
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Social media and digital technology experience (LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)
  • Samples of past project management expertise a benefit
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite

Travel and work hour requirements:

  • 10-20% travel
  • Global travel (applicant must disclose any known geographic travel limitations)
