YOUR FUTURE ROLE
We are looking for a (Senior) IT Solution Owner (f/m/d) for SAP´s Business Systems with excellent Kubernetes and Docker know-how, a Cloud Native mindset, and familiarity with SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, as well as different operating systems. As a Solution Owner (m/f/d) you will be responsible for the end-to-end technical operations of SAP internal cloud native solutions/system landscapes and the integration with SaaS and PaaS solutions during the whole service lifecycle. In close collaboration with our stakeholder teams (interface between the LoBs, the Application, and the Infrastructure units), you will work as a technical consultant, building and operating SAP‘s cloud native system landscapes.
In your role you will:
- Administrate Kubernetes clusters as well as create and maintain container images
- Support the creation of container based apps (e.g. with Docker)
- Drive standards e.g. regarding configuration, security and performance for the cloud native landscape(s) you are responsible for
- Collaborate with all required stakeholders for your system landscape inside and outside of your team (e.g. your customers, Application Services, Cloud Infrastructure Services)
- Drive co-innovation with SAP´s development teams to integrate the latest technologies in your landscapes
- Plan and coordinate maintenance schedules of business system landscapes in alignment with the respective SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS teams and solutions
- Optional: Be responsible for the SAP NetWeaver System landscape administration
YOUR PROFILE
- Deep experience with the creation and maintenance of Docker Container Images & Kubernetes cluster administration (e.g. Dockerfile, Image, Container Registry handling)
- Strong Hands-On Experience with Source Code Management in Github
- Jenkins & Interest in developing automated tests for microservices
- Understanding on Dev OPS tools and methodologies
- Experience in UNIX/Linux operating system needed
- Interest in Operation of a Kubernetes Cluster Environment inside an IAAS solution
- Basic knowledge of Hyperscalers (i.e. MS Azure and Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS))
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g. Terraform)
- Excellent IT infrastructure knowledge (hardware, network, file system, monitoring)
- Optional: Hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration, SAP HANA or ASE
- Professional Education in Information Technology (IT), Business Informatics, Natural Science, or equivalent
- Strong communication and presentation skills in German & English language
- 3-6 years professional working experience

The IE Operations (IE Ops) unit is responsible for the smooth operation of the business-critical systems and applications at SAP. The sub team Business Systems, you would belong to, is responsible for building, maintaining, and operating SAP’s internal business system landscapes from a technical Basis perspective.
