What you`ll do:
We are looking for experienced SAP Technology Senior Specialist with a passion to provide excellent customer support mainly for our EMEA/MEE customers base and drive projects around technical services and SAP solutions operated by Enterprise Cloud Services.

The Role:
As an IT Technology Services Senior Specialist, you will analyze customer’s business requirements or technical problem statements and act as a technical advisor and problem solver to clients and our internal stakeholders.

This includes different technical tasks (hands-on execution based on tickets and advisory) out of the following areas: technical configuration & integration of SAP software, release upgrades, application lifecycle management as well as day to day operations and maintenance of technical SAP landscapes.

In addition, you will also work on changing our system setup/configuration guidelines, validating new application, designing work instructions or drive automation initiatives. You will also focus on designing and conducting knowledge transfer to the global Operations community and create technical documentation, incl. technical operational concepts, process flows and guidelines. 


What you bring:

  • 5-10 years’ experience in SAP NetWeaver administration (ABAP and Java Basis) 
  • Good hands-on basis experience with SAP technologies like SAP NetWeaver, Web Dispatcher, Cloud Connector or Business Objects solutions
  • Good technical knowledge/experience in the area of technical FIORI enablement, SSO, SSL and integration technologies
  • Good background in software architecture and cloud technology 
  • Good knowledge in SAP Business Technology Platform
  • Experience with SAP HANA 2.0 and HANA XSA is an advantage
  • Experience in ITIL and IT Service Management processes 
  • Fluent in German & English (written & spoken)


You should have very good analytical and solution-oriented thinking as well as very good communication, presentation and networking skills. Working effectively in international and virtual teams should be something you are used to do.

Within the Product Engineering board area, the mission of the Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) Delivery organization is to run and operate SAP’s private cloud offering. Isolated private cloud landscapes are built for customers both in SAP owned datacenter as well as on IaaS infrastructure provided by hyperscale’s like Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services (AWS). Services are delivered from all regions (EMEA/MEE/AMER/APJ) having a strong international focus and cultural diversity.

As part of ECS Delivery, the area “Technology Services” supports the organization as an interface between our operational teams and supporting units like service engineering, customer engagement or productization - driving projects such as improving existing services, providing guidance on technical execution or support in critical situation as the last line of defense.
