The Project Management Specialist in Consulting area is responsible for performing a core function in the Project Management Office of project(s) and/or program(s). The Project Management Specialist must have a good understanding of the project management lifecycle, SAP delivery tools and methodologies, in order to carry responsibility over the entire Project lifecycle (initiate, plan, execute, control, close). The Project Management Specialist must understand the wider project scope and objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities and to integrate in the matrix organization. The Project Management Specialist is well organized, detail-oriented, with the ability communicate proactively when help or guidance is needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

  • Ensure a safe and effective working environment is established with appropriate logistics & infrastructure.
  • Ensure relevant standards and project systems are in place to manage Project in an effective and efficient way.
  • Ensure Governance effectively implemented.
  • Establish Meeting Cadence and Agendas.
  • Setup the escalation process.
  • Assist in developing Project Plan.
  • Facilitate the prioritization of project requirements with business stakeholders.
  • Assist in Resource Management process, creating and tracking resource requests
  • Facilitate project resources on-boarding
  • Review project plans with the team to ensure that all team members understand the assigned tasks and associated deliverable dates.
  • Assist in the coordination, planning and management of cross-functional project execution activities, including in early escalations. Manage autonomously a sub-project or a work stream within a larger project.
  • Interface with internal functions (PMO etc.) to ensure visibility and transparency of Project progress and results.
  • Assess impact of deviation from plan and identify the need for change requests. 
  • Track and monitor project change requests
  • Ensure all team members are in line with project objectives.
  • Effectively share knowledge and lessons learned with other Project Managers, and the PMO.
  • Build trusting and efficient relationships with key project stakeholders.
  • Maintain awareness of DBS Strategy in terms of transformation initiatives, methodology, tools, delivery strategy.
  • Demonstrate adaptability, change management skills and the ability to work within a matrix organization.

REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree, preferably in engineering, information technologies
  • 1-3 years of Team Lead or Project Management experience in project implementations using formal PM methodology, techniques and tools
  • Experience from package software implementation is a plus
  • Good people skills
  • Stong project management skills and ability to lead
  • Ability to work within a matrix organization
  • English: Upper Intermediate and above; Russian - Native
