About the team:
As part of Globalization Services, SAP Language Experience organizes the translation of SAP products and product-related materials into over 40 languages.
We’re a diverse team comprising developers, infrastructure engineers, support engineers and project managers – from 7 different countries!
What you’ll do:
Position Title: SAP Language Experience iXp Intern – Translation Project Management
Location: Galway, Ireland
Expected start date to end date: February 17th 2020 –August 28th 2020
In this role, you’ll work on:
- Translation & translation quality tasks (e.g. implementation of corrections, language acceptance testing, machine translation evaluation)
- External communication with suppliers; internal communication
- Technical analysis of translation materials (using 3rd party and propriety CAT tools and PM software)
- Status tracking and progress reporting on translation projects
- Updating of internal process documentation, support with technical documentation
- Opportunity to learn about global project management & translation technology (e.g. MT, CAT tools etc.)
- Assisting with internal events, promoting SAP Language Experience
Who you are:
We’re looking for someone who can challenge the status quo and likes to stay curious. You enjoy working on meaningful projects and are energized by lifelong learning.
- You are a student enrolled during the internship with a background from the areas of translation, interpretation, linguistics, technical documentation or computer linguistics who is interested in working in the area of Localization and Translation Management
- Fluent German and fluent English required, other languages are a plus
- Knowledge of state-of-art translation tools such as SDL Trados, MS Office, XML/HTML, basic programming knowledge is a plus
- Ability to work in an international team and excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills
