This is a maternity leave cover with a limited contract until May 2025.

What you’ll do

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer (f/m/d) to work on one of the most important topics currently – sustainability. You would join our very motivated and very international development team to help this cause. 

As a (Senior) Developer (f/m/d) for Cloud Sustainability Solutions, you and the scrum team members will work in iterations to solve interesting technical challenges and shape the product. You will be working in Java (and potentially JavaScript or TypeScript), while keeping quality in mind. The features you implement get into production every two weeks. You will get a chance to work closely with our most important customers and help them use our products.

What you bring

• Open and friendly team player with a service-oriented can-do attitude, willing to learn new things and share the knowledge
• Very good development skills in Java, specifically Spring Boot
• Experience with modern cloud native application development, CICD and automated testing
• Experience in all aspects of designing and creating high quality code and strong sense in quality
• Good degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field (Bachelor / Master)
• Fluent in English (written and verbal)
• Preferred: Knowledge in SAP technologies such as the Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) and Fiori Elements

Our multifunctional development team is based in Munich, Germany, and consists of cloud-native developers, product owners, architects, DevOps, UX, UA and translation colleagues. We are very international – we have ca. 20 colleagues and we come from ca. 10 different countries.
We are part of a growth unit, developing SAP Sustainability Control Tower, which is a steering and reporting cloud application, that helps our customers set their sustainability goals, and gather valuable insights on how to achieve them.
