Role Overview

An extremely rare opportunity to lead a highly experienced delivery team as a Project Manager within Cloud Adoption Services, Innovation Projects. Help launch SAP Commerce Cloud projects for some of the world’s leading organisations.

Primary responsibilities include the overall planning, coordination, control and delivery of customer facing Commerce projects using the SAP Agile Project Delivery Framework.

The Project Manager is responsible for working with the customer and delivery team to define high-level scope requirements then for managing delivery of this scope throughout the project. They are also responsible for ensuring the team follows appropriate practices and for coaching and mentoring all team members in these practices.

The Project Manager is responsible for facilitating and coordinating regular meetings throughout the various project life cycle phases, managing risk, keeping the team motivated and focused on their delivery goals, removing impediments, and fostering continuous improvement. This role requires frequent interaction with international customers and semi-regular travel.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role are the following:

  • Providing delivery expertise to support pre-project sales activities
  • High-level planning of project lifecycle phases and activities
  • Working with the customer and project team to define high-level requirements in terms of features and User Stories
  • Managing the customers’ expectations whilst safeguarding the delivery team
  • Working with Business Analysts within the project team who are responsible for managing detailed requirements
  • Consulting and coaching customers on Agile, implementation and eCommerce best practices
  • Keeping the team on track with the Agile process and adapting it as necessary for the given project context
  • Keeping the team focused on meeting their goals and objectives
  • Leading the team towards continuous improvement
  • Motivating the team and fostering an environment where excellence can be achieved
  • Managing project risks and dependencies
  • Managing project resourcing and financials
  • Tracking and reporting the project status to customer and internal management teams
  • Coordinating meetings with the customer and partner teams as necessary
  • Ensuring excellent communication and collaboration between all internal and external teams
  • Maintaining close relationships with customers and colleagues to support a “one-team” mindset

Requirements

Candidates for this role should possess the following:

  • Experience as a Project Manager on customer facing software development projects
  • Experience managing commercial projects in a services environment
  • Experience and very good knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Experience of full life cycle projects from initial scoping through to delivery
  • Experience of user stories, story point estimation and measuring velocity
  • Experience leading a team
  • Excellent verbal and written English 
  • Degree educated
  • Highly enthusiastic and motivated
  • Ability to travel approx. 10-20% (within EU)

Preferred

Ideal candidates for this role would also possess the following:

  • Presales experience
  • SAP Commerce (Hybris) experience
  • Excellent verbal and written Polish
