Role Overview 

A Diploma Student/Intern is primarily responsible for application software development. You will collaborate closely with other developers, business analysts and the QA team to fully understand the customer’s requirements and ensure high quality of solutions provided. You will be expected to deliver well designed and well tested code. We will actively encourage you to expand your knowledge and share your expertise with the team. This is a technical role and requires strong technical attitude and willingness to learn new technologies. 



The key responsibilities of this role are the following: 

  • Java and Spring-based software development for SAP Commerce Cloud 

  • Developing unit and integration tests 

  • Collaboration team members to understand technical and infrastructure requirements 

  • Working as a member of a customer-facing Scrum project team 

  • Continuous self-development though increased product knowledge 



Ideal candidates for this role will have the following:  

  • Student in computer science, software engineering or equivalent 

  • Practical knowledge about software development using modern system languages (e.g. Java, Go) 

  • Practical knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript 

  • Experience/understanding of agile concepts (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, pair programming) and lean principles 

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to drill down to the code level 

  • Good communication skills and fluency in English (both verbal and written)
