Role Overview

We are seeking a talented Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in building cloud-based applications, that redefine industry standards and drive innovation. As a member of our team, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class solutions to our valued customers.

An Intern Development Consultant is primarily responsible for implementation of customizations of SAP Sales & Service Cloud product, and SAP Commerce Cloud application software upgrade and migration. You will collaborate closely with other software engineers, consultants and project managers as well as with various roles from customer teams to fully understand the scope of work to be done and ensure the high quality of solutions provided. You will actively be encouraged to develop as well as share your knowledge and expertise with the rest of the team, including developing and documenting best practices and standards. This is a technical role and requires a strong technical attitude and willingness to learn about new technologies.

 

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role are the following:
•    Planning and executing code refactoring.
•    Develop and maintain Java-based applications.
•    Integrating new technologies into existing applications.
•    Planning and supporting testing, deployment and data migration activities.
•    Developing standards and best practices.
•    Working in containerized (Docker, Kubernetes) and virtual infrastructure (cloud-first setup).
•    Collaborate with senior developers to design, implement, and troubleshoot new features and adapt existing code.
•    Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards.
•    Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and best practices.

 

Qualifications

•    Very good verbal and written English.
•    Java programming language (17, 21, but also 11).
•    Knowledge of object-oriented programming and other common design patterns.
•    Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and web standards.
•    Experience in data processing (SQL, XML).
•    Basic understanding of databases like MySQL, MongoDB, or similar.
•    Version control system (git, GitHub, Bitbucket).
•    CI/CD pipelines utilization (Jenkins, Bamboo etc.).
•    Willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative development environment.

 

Nice-to-have technical skills:
•    Familiarity with Angular and/or React for building dynamic web applications.
•    Experience with RESTful APIs and integration with back-end services.
•    Hands-on experience with Node.js for back-end development.
•    Ability to leverage and integrate language model APIs (e.g., OpenAI's GPT) into development projects.
•    Working with application servers (e.g. Tomcat, JBoss)
•    Basic knowledge about UI5 for front-end development.
•    Integrating with RESTful services based on OData protocol


Any of the following would be an advantage
•    Working knowledge of lightweight container frameworks (e.g. Spring).
•    Experience in creating technical standards and best practices.
•    Experience with integration middleware
