The successful candidate will join the new Loyalty CRM development team, building tomorrows Customer Loyalty CRM from the ground up.

We are looking for a passionate, highly motivated, and experienced Development Manager to join our team. This high-performance and fast-paced environment is assured to provide rich opportunities for learning and growing. As a manager with both technical and HR accountability for your team, you will be working in a cross-functional organization of talented, supportive and motivated colleagues, following agile frameworks and industry best practices, working with stakeholders globally, across multiple time zones, geographies, and cultures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Discuss, debate, plan, develop, test, build and maintain scalable, resilient and high-performance applications.
- Be comfortable using React, Redux, Java and Spring Boot, and deploying to the cloud.
- Act as a coach, mentor and advocate for your team and its individual members, supporting their growth and development.
- Take responsibility for the overall success and performance of your team, and actively work continuously to improve their strengths.
- Provide clear expectations, guide career progression, assess contribution and performance, and manage compensation
- Be responsible for budgeting and resource allocation and support the team in delivering inspirational software with the right balance of customer facing and non-customer facing requirements.
- Ensure successful delivery and smooth operations by identifying risks impacting delivery and supporting the team resolve them efficiently.
- Hire for the roles on your teams, and onboard new team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years Java development, building production grade software.
- 4-8+ years cloud-native software development (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- 2-3+ years managing a software development team.
- Collaborative spirit, able to work across the product organization to achieve complex goals
- Self-motivated, curious, open-minded, resourceful, agile, pragmatic and a bias for action.
Skills and Competencies:
- Fundamental understanding of native cloud software development practices.
- Understanding of domain driven design principles and event storming.
- Knowledge and experience developing Spring Boot Applications.
- Experience with React development with Redux or related technologies.
- A solid understanding of common test automation frameworks and static code analysis.
- Familiarity with event-driven and event-sourcing design patterns.
- Understanding of the importance of DORA metrics in native cloud operations.
- Knowledge of monitoring and telemetry tooling.
