As a Senior Frontend Developmer, you will take a key role in development of Busola, a management dashboard for Kyma users written in React.

Kyma is a strategic element of SAP Business Technology Platform and Busola is a central component of the whole Kyma ecosystem.

Kyma is application runtime built on top of Kubernetes which allows users to seamlessly run their cloud-native applications and combine legacy monolithic systems with the cloud-native world and microservices.

 

Our teams build Kyma and Busola from scratch, so you will have a real say in what the architecture looks like and which technologies are used.

You will work in a product team so that you'll be able to be present during the whole lifecycle of the product over a long time period

On a daily basis you will work with React, Kubernetes API and Cloud technologies. That's a great opportunity for you to learn, and we will support you by offering access to various learning materials and domain experts

 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • Architecture Design: Develop the Busola web application using React and Web Components, focusing on a modular, distributed approach
  • Key Technological Decisions: Make critical decisions about the application's architecture to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Implementation Oversight: Design and implement a distributed multi-module frontend application that consolidates code from various sources into one centralised application.
  • Leadership: Lead peer reviews, programming sessions, and technical discussions within the team to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Operational Responsibility: Ensure the solutions provided meet our high standards.
  • Mentorship: Act as a mentor and technical leader, guiding the development process and ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Support: Provide product support through on-call duty, resolving issues as they arise.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

Experience:

  • At least 5 years in web application development.
  • A minimum of 3 years focused on complex, distributed frontend architectures.
  • Technologies:
    • Extensive experience with JavaScript, React, and Web Components.
    • Proven track record with Node.js and interfacing with RESTful APIs, especially in CRUD applications.
  • Architecture:
    • Solid foundation in designing and implementing distributed, multi-module frontend applications.
  • Professional Growth:
    • A commitment to continuous learning and adopting new technologies, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Communication:
    • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English, capable of clearly articulating technical concepts.
  • Desirable:
    • Experience with cloud hyperscalers (GCP, Azure, AWS) and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
