What you'll do 

• As a Data Engineer in the GCG Content Infrastructure & Automation (CIA) team, you will:
• Lead the design and implementation of scalable data integration, transformation, and analytics solutions for GCG’s Content Infrastructure, the Semantic Data Layer (SDL).
• Build robust ETL pipelines and automate data workflows leveraging Python and Kubernetes.
• Design and maintain data models for new data sources to be embedded within the GCG Knowledge Graph.
• Engage directly with stakeholders across functions and geographies to gather requirements and align technical delivery with strategic objectives.
• Act as a trusted advisor to project teams, mentoring developers, and promoting best practices in software design and delivery.
• Collaborate closely with SAP product teams, partners, and customers to continuously improve content ingestion, metadata modeling, and knowledge graph integration.

What you bring 

• 1-4 years of overall experience in software development.
• Strong programming skills in Python, with practical experience developing ETL frameworks and automation tools.
• Experience with knowledge graphs, particularly the Resource Description Framework (RDF).
• Knowledge in pipeline engineering, particularly ETL processes.
• Knowledge of unit testing practices to ensure functionality and reliability.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for technology, innovation, and team collaboration.
• Interest in academia (particularly data management and AI)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
