Position Summary
As an AI Intern at SAP NS2, you will play a key role in advancing AI innovation within the national security space. This is a project-driven role that blends technical exploration, strategic research, and cross-functional collaboration. You will contribute to key initiatives such as AI model development, GenAI capability assessments, and AI solution deployment planning for our government customers.
This role is ideal for students who are curious problem-solvers with a strong bias for hands-on learning, able to navigate technical complexity, connect insights across domains, and bring structure to emerging AI use cases.
What you'll do
- Support the development and testing of AI/ML models and applications on secure cloud infrastructure, including SAP AI Core
- Collaborate with AI engineers and data scientists to implement GenAI programs and track progress against technical milestones
- Conduct research on emerging AI trends, tools, and frameworks to support NS2's AI roadmap and customer solutions
- Assist in documenting AI capabilities, creating technical briefs, and developing customer-facing materials that showcase AI impact
- Contribute to proof-of-concept projects and innovation initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Participate in internal AI enablement sessions and help strengthen awareness of AI tools and best practices across NS2
What you bring
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related technical field
- Strong interest in emerging AI technologies, especially Generative AI and its enterprise applications
- Foundational programming skills in Python and familiarity with AI/ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, etc.)
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts
- Proactive mindset, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), data visualization, or AI model deployment is a plus
- Familiarity with Generative AI concepts and tools is desirable, but not required – a willingness to learn is essential

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 15 - 62(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
