This internship can be local to Herndon, VA or Austin, TX.

Seeking conscientious individual who has a strong desire to learn and contribute in a fast paced, growing environment. Individual must be able to quickly grasp new concepts with excellent capacity to retain and apply new information.

 Responsibilities include: 

• Documents and executes security activities regarding monitoring, availability, and vulnerability management. 
• Ensure excellent quality and maintain high standards in all processes listed in the relevant process maps. Adheres to standards and procedures.  
• Develops and enhances automation for infrastructure or application provisioning and repetitive security tasks

 Preferred Skills: 

• Superior oral and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely with colleagues
• Escalates/communicates issues when necessary
• Experience working with the Linux operating system 
• Exposure to Splunk or similar SIEM tools 
• Basic knowledge of microservices concepts
• Basic knowledge of container-orchestration concepts  
• Basic knowledge of encryption protocols and processes 
• Basic knowledge of Amazon Web Services, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts
• Exposure to a scripting language, such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python

 Education Requirements:

• Information Systems, Computer Science, or other related fields working towards a college degree or a recent college graduate.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 15 - 62(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
