JOB DESCRIPTION:
SAPNS2 is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed professional to fill the role of Senior Functional Consultant in Chantilly, VA. The ideal candidate works well with a team and has the desire and aptitude to learn new software, cloud applications and information technology concepts. This role is part of a broader team implementing and maintaining SAP solutions. As a functional consultant you will work closely with customer end users and developers to translate current processes into requirements for configuration and development of new functionality
- Work with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements for new software applications
- Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance
- Serve as a liaison between technical team and the stakeholders
- Designing and developing new functions or improving existing ones
- Gather and analyze requirements to design or enhance new processes to improve user experience.
- Interface with senior leadership for guidance on information strategy, vision, and priorities
- Create documentation such as requirements specifications, test scripts, user guides, and help files.
- Perform quality assurance testing of new software releases to ensure that they meet stated requirements.
- Provide technical support to end users and helping them troubleshoot issues with software applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience, 3-5 years, working as part of a team as a consultant
- Prior experience with enterprise software or cloud applications, e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, AWS, Google
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
Education:
Required undergraduate university degree, or equivalent training and job experience

SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 99000 - 216000(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
