About SAP Labs Network and SAP Labs Vietnam

SAP Labs Network is the global R&D setup where over 55,000 engineers around the world create, operate and support the most innovative enterprise solutions for SAP’s customers worldwide. SAP Labs Vietnam aims to become one of the key locations within the SAP Labs Network to support the engineering growth for SAP.

 

What you'll do

 

Reporting into the MD for the Labs, the role’s remit is to protect, elevate and amplify the SAP Labs brand in the Vietnam region, with a focus on growth through building awareness and reputation both internally and externally covering several business functions within the SAP Labs organization. The person will work in alignment with the engineering and development teams, Labs MD and multiple global stakeholders to steward the brand externally and collaborate with global, regional, and local teams for execution. 

 

The person will be responsible to support all key on the ground activities in the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, employee engagement, and build a strong culture where innovation, collaboration and teamwork can thrive. The person should be able to follow through with a complete Labs employee experience. A significant part of the work will be with the new engineering teams to drive early and professional talent development, as well as build out a strong local talent pipeline together with the talent attraction team.

 

As the operations person responsible for the employee engagement for SAP Labs Vietnam, you are expected to own and drive a multitude of topics to make SAP Labs Vietnam the best place to work for our employees. With a strong understanding of both the local culture as well as SAP’s corporate culture, this person will spearhead the execution of SAP Labs in Vietnam as one of the best places to work.

 

What you bring

 

  • Assist the SAP Labs MD and the SAP Labs Network Team to establish the Labs as a fully functional part of SAP’s development setup
  • Setup, prepare for relevant management leadership team meetings
  • Support and lead the execution of employee, customer and ecosystem relevant events
  • Coordinate with Talent Branding team to expand the outreach to the community, including Universities, professional bodies about SAP Labs Vietnam
  • Lead the organisation of an Employee Community – become the “Voice of the Employee” to ensure a strong employee engagement
  • Support internal and external events, and lead the project execution around employee engagement
  • Liaise with the local employees to cultivate a strong sense of purpose and culture within the team, ensure high participation in employee events
  • Developing collaborative work relationships within own team and cross-functional, including representation of team towards senior management
  • Supporting internal projects, including decision taking within clearly defined framework of departmental guidelines and practices
  • Managing relevant financial targets and reporting activities as part of the role
  • Competent knowledge about the local labor laws, trusted advisor to the MD and global teams on how to navigate complex topics around the regulatory environment
  • Maintains the highest standards on work ethics and compliance to SAP’s employee code of conduct
  • Be an ambassador for SAP in the local market

 

Experience Requirements

  • Proven leadership role in Employee Engagement in a top tier Tech multinational is key to success in this role
  • Project management and business skills with in managing key projects around office and team requirements with tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to increase employee engagement within large organisations
  • Driven, creative and enthusiastic individual committed to growing the location and making the office a “lighthouse” for employees

 

Communication Requirements

  • Builds and maintains partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Contributes actively to build common ground for cooperation
  • Communicates clear and conveying processes & policies in a way that others can understand
  • Communicates relevant messages in a timely manner and with constructive feedback to cross functional colleagues & managers
  • Able to resolve conflict and progress key initiatives

 

Experience & Language Requirements

  • Fluent bi-lingual in Vietnamese and English is a must (spoken and written)
  • 10+  years of experience in employee engagement and demonstrated proficiency with project management
  • Excellent presentation skills, able to represent the topics to an international group of stakeholders
  • German language is a plus
  • Shortlisted candidates will be asked to make a formal in person presentation in English to an interview panel for 15 mins to assess fit and suitability to the role

 
Education

  • Relevant University degree is a must, Masters or PhD preferred
