Purpose and Objective:  
SAP Labs, LLC seeks a Support Engineer at our Houston, TX location and various client sites nationwide responsible for performing and leading overall analysis of situation at key accounts. 

 

Expectations and Tasks: 
Identify top issues in key account engagements. Lead analysis of system landscape and technical issues. Lead analysis of core business processes for all applications. Lead analysis of system and application operation. Deliver functional or technical tasks in MaxAttention projects. Bring technical or application expert knowledge into the project. Co-operate with the Focus Technical Quality Manager (TQM) to answer difficult functional or technical questions and executes concrete tasks. Deliver Onsite & Remote services for MaxAttention, Active Embedded and Mission Critical. Support (escalations & task forces, MCS Backoffice) including Optimization, Assessment, Technical Integration/ Validation, Empowering trainings and workshops and Engineering Services. Learn to deliver onsite services as functional expert for broad area of topics. Deliver Expert Guided Implementation. Actively provide customer feedback to development based on delivery. Analyze functional gaps in ICC and developments to close gaps. Implement specific best practice operations scenarios. Develop trainings, specifications and documentation. Ensure that services and documentation are available and up to date for the respective area of expertise. Take over development tasks in projects or service development. Deliver root cause analysis, provides solutions, and delivers services for specific fields/areas. 30% travel to various client sites nationwide.

 

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies: 
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study and 5 years of experience required. The company will also accept a Master's degree and 3 years of experience.

 

Work Experience: 
Experience must involve 3 years in the following:  SAP Business Warehouse (BW) platform architecture and its relevant components, including data loads, data transfer, data modelling, and warehouse management for comprehensive solution support operations; Conduct complex root cause analysis and troubleshoot reported platform system issues on an ongoing basis; Resolve multi-tiered system performance issues and data consistency problems and perform detailed system availability analysis for various SAP solutions; Perform solution support development and analysis in SAP’s Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) programming language within the SAP Business Warehouse (BW) product platform area; Analyze and evaluate new or existing SAP BW configurations and strategies based on customer system requirements; Convert the evolving customer system requirements into viable solution support blueprints; Create BW extractors, data models, and Business Explorer (BEx) queries using SAP Best Practices and SAP layered scalable architecture (LSA) used for designing and implementing various layers in the BW system for data acquisition, corporate memory, data distribution, and data analysis; Prepare and troubleshoot complex SAP Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) codes in the SAP BW platform and source systems; Resolve data warehouse design issues across the solution development stages to provide solution support guidance; Improve solution performance metrics by streamlining and generating BW reports and extractors; Utilize SAP’s industry-leading solution support methodologies within the SAP Business Suite and NetWeaver software solutions for further solution optimization; Leverage close knowledge of connectivity options to ensure that the right type of interface and connection configurations are chosen for each specific scenario for optimal read and write performance between SAP data warehouse, such as SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and SAP HANA; and Implement interfaces for SAP Business Intelligence and integrate the resulting platform with the SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and SAP High-Performance Analytic Appliance (HANA) solutions. 30% travel required to various client sites nationwide.
