SAP Business Objects Enterprise is one the Business Intelligence solutions of SAP. It includes a suite of BI software, some of which allows querying and reporting on multiple data sources. The tool Web Intelligence is the main one of the suite. It is broken down into a backend part and a frontend part which communicate with each other as well as with the platform to manage user rights and security.

The Backend part is developed for some parts in C++ and for others in Java.

Following the retirement of one of our employees, we are looking for a motivated person to help us develop new features and maintain the existing ones through customer case handling.

To do this, you will first get familiar with our architecture and the components of the backend part of WebIntelligence.

Afterwards, you will maintain this set and propose improvements by working daily with the other developers of the team but also with the product experts and quality engineers.

As part of your missions, you will be asked to:

• Analyze the specifications.
• Contribute to the definition and development of features.
• Fix bugs.
• Ensure communication on deliveries both internally and with customers for their cases.
• Present results.

You will develop strong competencies around the SAP Business Objects Enterprise suite and its flagship tool WebIntelligence and will be immersed in software development under real industrial conditions.

What you bring:

• Student in an engineering school.
• Good knowledge of C++ and Java languages.
• Passionate about development and new technologies, you show a rigorous approach, a good knowledge of conceptual concepts and capacity to work in a team.
• Clear communication in French and English (at least C1 level for both).

Technical environment

• SCM : GITHub, Perforce
• Languages : C++ and Java

Meet your team:

You will work in a team of 15 employees in a group of about 80 employees.

Initially, you will be under the technical supervision of a team member and the responsibility of the team manager.
