Position Profile
The Head of Platform and Technology France is a Leadership Role, and in conjunction with a higly specialized sales team owns and delivers on the sales objectives of the BTP Business across the French Market Unit. The right candidate will bring his/her proven Cloud leadership experience of managing sales teams, and driving a mulit-million Euro business (up to 20 m), and further will need to demonsrate domain knowledge in one or more of the various technologies, specifically Database & various types of Data Integration, Analytics & Planning, Artificial intenlligence, Dev Ops, Data and Data management.
This position is the external face to French market, building a brand as a recognized thought leader by customers, partners and market influencers. Specific duties would include: sales management, forecasting, deal execution and demand generation. A hands-on and lead-by-example position, sponsoring the sales execution in the most strategic customers and for the largest opportunities.
Your ability at creating and nuturing executive relationships on their own as part of the wider sponsorship provided by the SAP executive team.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Execution - 40%
• Define and execute the BTP sales plan for France whilst building the best sales talent with domain expertise and using the established sales plays building a stronger pipeline in order to reach the sales goals of the team.
• Meet quarterly linearity targets (quarterly targets and month-to-month targets)
• Proactive Thought Leadership to the market in the domain, keynote speaker, maintaining ongoing engagements with Bloggers, Press, Analyst and other key influencers.
Deal Execution - 40%
• Ensure the quarterly target objectives are achieved, by personally engaging in selected opportunities to provide sales leadership through to opportunity closure
• Lead-by-example in front of key/strategic customers presenting compelling proposals and commercial options as the “deal sponsor”
• Build strong sales best practice around deal qualification and closure process
Channel & Partnering - 20%
• Ensure an indirect/volume sales forecasting process is executed to roll-up to region
• Personally sponsor strategic partners to drive incremental revenue and strategic customers but also partners that build scale in the channel
What you will bring
Your 10 year of customer facing experience, combined with solutioning experience, in either sales, or customer success background, demonstrating how you have built both direct and indirect high-performance sales teams
