Summary

We are looking for a Senior Backend Golang Developer (3+ years of experience) to help build and evolve the core backend microservice behind our Inbox product in the SAP LeanIX portfolio – a solution that helps organizations automatically discover and manage their IT landscapes. You’ll work with modern cloud technologies, shape impactful features with Product & UX, and contribute to a secure, scalable system used by global enterprises.

You’ll join a team that is highly collaborative, challenge-driven and focused on building meaningful software. You’ll have real ownership, work on a service with enterprise scale impact, and operate in a modern microservice landscape (Go, Postgres, Kubernetes).

The Role

As a Senior Backend Developer you will take responsibility for designing, implementing and operating robust, secure, scalable backend services in Go. You will partner with Product and UX to understand user needs, translate them into architecture and APIs, deliver high quality code, and run the service in production. You will contribute to system architecture decisions, influence engineering practices, improve performance and security, and take features from concept to deployment.

What you bring

• Strong experience in backend development and API design
• Hands-on experience with Go or willingness to transition from another backend language
• Solid grasp of software design principles and clean coding practices
• Experience with scalable systems in production environments
• Familiarity with microservices and containerized deployments (e.g., Kubernetes)
• Ability to write secure, tested, and maintainable code
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional teams
• Curiosity, initiative, and desire to continuously learn and improve
