Integrated Marketing Team: Account-Based Marketing Program Lead

 

We seek an experienced and strategic Senior Account Based Marketing (ABM) Professional to lead our global ABM initiatives. This role is critical in driving growth across our target audiences by defining the strategy and operations of ABM programs that will be consistent, scalable, and high-performance programs. You will work closely with stakeholders across marketing organizations and executive leadership to deliver SAP's ABM strategy and operations for personalized 1:many, 1:few, 1:1, and deal pursuit strategies that yield measurable business outcomes.

 

What You'll Do

 

Strategy Development

• Define and execute the global ABM strategy, ensuring alignment with key stakeholders and corporate objectives.

• Develop tailored marketing plans for 1:few and 1:1 programs targeting specific accounts or clusters based on engagement, industry, geography, or business needs.

• Develop strategies and plans to cater to pre-sale demand programs and post-sale adoption, use, and renewal programs supporting the customer lifecycle.

• Lead deal pursuit marketing efforts to support high-value, strategic sales opportunities.

• Translates high-level marketing goals into actionable plans and orchestrates across multiple teams to drive omnichannel execution.

 

Enabling Execution

• Collaborate with marketing, sales and account teams to socialize a standard definition, strategy and understanding of ABM operations, including key business challenges and objectives.

• Deliver omnichannel, personalized campaign frameworks, leveraging digital events, content, and other channels to engage decision-makers and influencers.

 

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management

• Act as a bridge between marketing and sales, driving alignment and collaboration across functions.

• Influence senior leadership and key stakeholders, articulating the value of ABM and securing buy-in for initiatives.

 

Measurement and Optimization

• Define success metrics for ABM programs, track performance, and provide insights for continuous improvement.

• Ensure rigorous measurement of ABM's impact on pipeline growth, deal acceleration, and revenue generation.

• Supports the integrated marketing teams and other stakeholders to ensure the ABM program's health, effectiveness, and optimization, resulting in an impact against marketing metrics and required optimizations to achieve business targets.

 

EXPERIENCE & KEY SKILLS

· 8-10 years of experience in B2B, high-tech marketing, with a minimum of 5 years in ABM roles in large, global organizations.

· Proven track record of executing ABM strategies targeting complex, enterprise-level accounts from a demand and adoption perspective.

· Strong understanding of 1:few, 1:1, and deal pursuit marketing methodologies and best practices.

· Experience in industries requiring long sales cycles and sophisticated solutions.

· Proficiency with ABM platforms and tools (e.g. 6Sense, Marketo, etc.).

· Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills at all levels of the organization.

· Analytical mindset with the ability to derive actionable insights from data.

· Global perspective and experience working across different regions and cultures.

· Knowledge of advanced marketing technologies, AI, and personalization tools.

· Experience leading cross-functional, international teams.

· Background in sales or deep collaboration with sales organizations.

· Excellent with marketing strategy and planning for marketing programs.

· Experience successfully orchestrating and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to think and work strategically and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

· Comfortable preparing for and presenting to executives.

· Experience in collaborating with functional experts and agencies to develop digital experiences and content.

· Must be familiar with multiple digital channels and their applicability within a demand generation plan.

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
