What you'll do:

Extended Planning & Analysis (xP&A) is a modern planning approach that leverages core financial planning and analysis capabilities—such as continuous planning, forecasting, advanced analytics, and performance management—while extending beyond traditional finance to encompass the entire organization.

Enabled by technologies like cloud computing and artificial intelligence, xP&A integrates key business metrics that are not typically captured in standard financial statements. These include operational readiness, customer satisfaction, sustainability, employee engagement, churn, and customer acquisition.

The team’s activities focus on business development and customer acquisition within a strategic context. A critical success factor is the close integration of strong business acumen with comprehensive technological expertise.

To support the cross-functional implementation of these initiatives, we are looking for a Working Student (f/m/d) to join our team in an international sales environment.

You will have the opportunity to contribute in one of the following areas:

1. Technical Track: Support the development of customized client demos and showcases based on SAP Analytics Cloud 

2. Business Development Track: Assist with programs for new customer acquisition and the expansion of existing accounts (presentations, LinkedIn activities, events, lead qualification, and internal/external follow-ups)

3. Knowledge Management & Content Track: Contribute to the creation, structuring, and maintenance of knowledge assets, including field campaigns and supporting materials (e.g., presentations, messaging, and reusable content)

Your Profile 

• Currently enrolled as a student (f/m/d) at a university or university of applied sciences 
• Preferred fields of study: Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration with a focus on Finance/Controlling 
• Technical skills: Strong proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) is essential. Depending on your focus area, either: 
  - a technical background (e.g., cloud application modeling, JavaScript), or
  -a business-oriented, presentation-driven profile is highly valued 
• Familiarity with SAP technologies (e.g., SAP Analytics Cloud) is a plus, but not required 
• Experience in using modern AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to enhance productivity, research, and content creation is highly valued 
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills 
• Experience with social media (e.g., LinkedIn) is an advantage 
• Languages: Fluent in English is required; strong written and spoken German skills is a plus, but not required 
• Proactive, “can-do” mindset with a collaborative team spirit; creative, well-organized, and committed to delivering high-quality results 
• Confident and professional demeanor, with strong presentation skills and an interest in supporting customer acquisition and account development
• Previous experience in sales and/or cloud application development is a plus 

Meet your team

We are a global sales organization responsible for driving new customer acquisition in a strategic growth area. Our focus is on scaling sales approaches and identifying new use cases in planning and simulation—powered by artificial intelligence (AI)—within our customers’ core business functions.

Our team already includes several working students who actively support our global organization, and everyone is looking forward to welcoming new team members.

You will make a meaningful contribution by:

•  Supporting pre-sales and sales activities
• Contributing to the development of innovative use cases based on SAP Analytics Cloud 
• Assisting in the creation of compelling, referenceable showcases (e.g., in industries such as retail, chemicals, and automotive) 
• Actively contributing to knowledge building and sharing of best practices, for example in the international rollout of new use cases
• Supporting the qualification of sales opportunities and activities 
• Assisting in the preparation and follow-up of internal meetings as well as customer events (including executive-level engagements) 
• Collaborating operationally with other SAP units such as Sales, Development, and Marketing 
• Preparing and maintaining key documents, such as translations, meeting minutes, and supporting materials for strategic presentations 

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships).

Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
