Role Description

Payroll process specialist carries out payroll preparations, payroll runs and other monthly subsequent activities like bank transfers file creation, posting to accounts and various payroll reports on monthly basis for migrated countries within APJ region. He/she acts in accordance with policies and a legal regulation described in process handbooks and closely cooperates with country payroll consultants based in Singapore.

 

Reports to:   Global Payroll Manager APJ              

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Run several reports within preparation for payroll run which should prevent from later issues/errors
  2. Perform payroll run, bank transfers and posting to accounts in accordance to processes described in process handbooks
  3. Ensure payment completeness and accuracy, and that all payroll tasks are completed on time
  4. Make sure all processes are performed in accordance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) act
  5. Update process handbooks and checklists in accordance with process changes and legal regulations changes
  6. Ensure information flow with all departments and functions in SAP, which are involved in the transactions
  7. Prepare for payroll run with cooperation with in country payroll administrators
  8. Provide accurate and timely services to all customers (employees) and all other related parties
  9. Cooperate with other team members and country CoEs (Centre of Expertise) in order to deliver the in-scope services in compliance with Service Level Agreement
  10. Resolve customer queries within the defined HRdirect procedures in cooperation with HRdirect and local payroll consultants and any other parties which might get involved for the query resolution.
  11. Continuously improve work procedures and processes
  12. Participate on Global Payroll projects

Education

  • Successful completed secondary level

 

Practical experience

  • Min 1 year working experience in administration / HR / Finance
  • Payroll knowledge desirable
  • Experience working within a service orientated environment

 

System knowledge

 

Essential

  • Advanced MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

 

Desirable

  • SAP system knowledge
  • HR application knowledge

 

Language Skills

  • Fluent in English and Mandarin
