ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for demand generation, pipeline build strategies and development of scale initiatives resulting in increased pipeline, revenue and in elevating SAP’s leadership position for SAP’s cloud and platform portfolio.
Leverages technical and business expertise ensuring business critical & innovative results for both software and cloud environments cross-industry and customer segment as well as articulates our competitive advantage for customers, prospects and partners.
Responsible for delivery of outcomes and executing business plans integrating functional and financial objectives.
May represent you externally and internally on specific solution/LoB segment.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:
- Establish a trustful and constructive working relation with sales and other internal stakeholders.
- Position and evangelize the SAP’s cloud & platform solutions internally and externally with customers and partners.
- Establish long term relationships with key customer and be viewed as trusted advisor on defining data/application architecture and strategy.
- Help customers become best run businesses in their industry.
- Close collaboration with global and regional teams as well as with local sales organizations to oversee, influence and track the execution of demand generation plans for key solutions.
- Lead and execute the GTM plans for the solution/LoB; contribute and validate high-quality business plans which clearly articulate solution/ LoB strategy, GTM activities and key execution steps. This could include areas such as: enablement, launches, ramp-up, solution strategy and roll-in, pricing, investment cases, M&A, strategic partnering. Demonstrate the ability to provide a customer with a roadmap for the cloud adoption.
- Assume a leadership role in devising solutions strategies in targeted sales cycles; drive solution/LoB credibility to influence the markets opinion of SAP’s solutions offerings. Devise comprehensive strategies to engage partners in areas such as business development, packaged solution development and solution/LoB cross-selling. Package tactical sales plays tailored to specific target segment and positioning – considering product lifecycle and adoption.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Professional experience with large software/IT organizations (multi-national preferable).
- 5+ years professional experience in enterprise data/application architectures.
- A demonstrated expertise in Azure, AWS or Google Platform (e.g. through Solution Management, Presales, Consulting and/or Business Development roles).
- Data management, application development, application integration and big data architectures.
- Experience in program planning and/or evaluating new business development opportunities in new or emerging markets.
- Customer facing experience.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required, MBA or equivalent degree required from accredited university preferred
- Fluency in English, any other language an asset
- Fluency in the language of local markets desirable.
