About the Role
The Chief of Staff (CoS) for SCM Americas is a strategic and operational leadership role supporting the Head of SCM across the Americas region. The CoS acts as a trusted advisor, operational integrator, and force-multiplier—driving execution, governance, cross-functional alignment, and organizational effectiveness across Sales, Customer Success, Solution Advisory, Integrated Delivery, and Partner teams.
This role ensures disciplined operating rhythms, accelerates execution on strategic priorities, enables business transformation, and strengthens cross-LOB collaboration to drive revenue growth, customer outcomes, and internal operational efficiency.
Bilingual in English/Spanish is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily operations and priorities across the Americas SCM organization, enabling effective time, resource, and initiative management for the Head of SCM.
• Establish and manage an integrated operating calendar covering QBRs, MBRs, forecast reviews, customer engagements, leadership meetings, and field enablement routines.
• Drive alignment between Sales, Customer Success, SCM Global, Regional Team, Services, & GTM operations to ensure synchronized execution.
• Develop and professionalize governance for renewals, deal reviews, escalations, and cross-functional issue resolution.
• Identify operational gaps and friction points—working across LOBs to remove barriers and drive process simplification (e.g., Quote2Cash, renewals governance, partner processes).
• Lead preparation and content development for executive reviews, customer meetings, leadership communications, and strategic forums.
• Coordinate strategic planning cycles, organizational design updates, and key transformation initiatives across SCM Americas.
• Collaborate closely with the SCM VAT to drive employee engagement, culture programs, and field readiness.
• Plan and execute leadership offsites and participation in flagship events such as Sapphire.
• Manage special projects, analytics, and cross-functional initiatives on behalf of the Head of SCM.
• Maintain operational rigor, ensuring predictable execution and transparency across the SCM business.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise software, supply chain, cloud, or related fields.
• Strategic thinker with ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
• High integrity and proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
• Strong business acumen with understanding of SaaS, supply chain processes, customer lifecycle, and field operations.
• Experience in Sales, Customer Success, Solution Advisory, or operational roles preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to influence across matrixed organizations and drive alignment.
• Outstanding organizational, analytical, and project management capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 78,000 - 180,700 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
