Purpose and Objective:  
SAP America, Inc. seeks an Expert Support Engineer at our Miami, FL location (and various client sites nationwide) to deliver relevant Enterprise Architecture guidance to the SAP front office teams and SAP customers directly, under the umbrella of the SAP MaxAttention services contract. 

 

Expectations and Tasks:
Support the front-office architects and account teams in their architecture related work with the customer, as a combination of process guidance and back-office like responsibility. Collaborate with SAP Transformation Hub counterparts, to ensure continuity throughout the journey of defining a customer IT strategy and providing guidance in conceptual and architectural questions typical for an IT transformation. Delivery of strategy services and architecture pointof-view services together with the front-office architect role. Build and maintain a central knowledge hub, enabling across customer / cross industry and cross regional perspective to architecture-related topics. Guide large enterprises through the digital transformation by identifying drivers for change, mapping those drivers to enablers  in terms of application components or non-functional qualities and deriving an industry and customer-specific target architecture. Refine and evolve the service methodology which includes documentation and collection of learnings from the deliveries for re-use by the service development groups, to further improve the service concepts and service content. Maintain a strong network within SAP Digital Business Services as well as SAP development; building up strategic working relationship across multiple locations. 40% travel required to various client sites nationwide.

 

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies: 
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, Information Systems, or related field of study and 7 years of experience required. The company will also accept a Master's degree and 5 years of experience.

 

Work Experience: 
Experience must involve 5 years in the following: Cloud and on-premise solutions, including “how to integrate”, “how to extend”, “how to scale”, etc.; At least one LoB from Finance, Sales & Marketing, Purchasing and Manufacturing; advising large enterprises on IT strategy and enterprise architecture topics, building and supporting execution of roadmaps and service plans; Enterprise Architecture domains (Business, Application, Data & Technology); Turning customer requirements into requirements for an application architecture; Enterprise Architecture certification or an equivalent practical experience; SAP ERP / S/4HANA or at least one other key SAP application; Working on SAP based architectures & general IT technology strategies; Leading service delivery teams, including remote and virtual setups; and architecture modeling and visualization tools (SAP Power Designer or similar). 40% travel required to various client sites nationwide.
