PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES   

 

As part of Enterprise Cloud Services Delivery Unit and SAP’s IT-infrastructure provider is responsible for running SAP’s backend technology including operations of state-of-the-art datacenters as well as client technology around the globe.

 

Within ECS Delivery Unit, Technical consultant is responsible for the operations of important and critical External Customer SAP systems and applications embedded in an international delivery approach.

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

 

Strong capability in leading teams.

Technical background and administration experience for server operating systems (SUSE Linux)

Cloud agnostic approach, with core knowledge of public cloud AWS & Azure offerings.

Project member experience in an international environment and ability to work effectively in international and virtual

teams

Strong capabilities in the area of technical documentation

Capacity to continuously acquire new knowledge in an independent, proactive way

Good analytical and solution-oriented thinking

Very good communication and networking skills

Strong customer service focus   

 

EXPECTATION AND TASKS

As SEO you will be responsible for the:

Ensuring Day to Day quality delivery

OS Concepts on Security, Backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning, System Copies, high availability and disaster recovery concepts, database replication, DNS and understanding of Network Topology.

Defining and tracking various service KPI

Working towards automating various day to day operational tasks

Planning, setup, implementation and operation of SAP technologies achieving ambitious SLA Requirements

Streamline and improve Service Delivery, leading topics and people

Coordination of international teams in global projects

Set up process, services and tools around cloud technologies.

Drive innovation to optimize, automate and standardize the operational delivery processes.

Validate the environment to meets all security and compliance controls.

Strong alignment and close cooperation with customers and partners.

Excellent Communication skills and focused on transformation of customer satisfaction to customer delight.

             

WORK EXPERIENCE

7+ years work experience in Server management

2+ years’ experience in handling service delivery

Technical escalation handling

Handling work transition from L3 to L2

Working knowledge in UNIX/Linux environment

Incident and Problem Management

Basic Knowledge in Network and Storage

Multiyear work experience in international teams and Global Projects.

Exposure to ITIL framework is an advantage.
